    Nobody seems to know.

    I reckon it means expensive.

    P.S. I'm talking about food.

ive never hear that used around here, but in my mind i would classify a lot of the dispensary weed as 'gourmet' like 'high quality, special flavors'

its like ''organic''..companies dont have to do much to put the word gourmet on the label

lol seriously folks? am i the only one to instantly recognize she was talking about food? im not a mind reader but gourmet is an established food related term...

and the stoners lounge is not only for talking about weed, thats the marijuana forum that birthed this sub-forum.

some gourmet food is worth it, but it depends WHY it is called gourmet. like, i just had some provolone and salami (two things i usually dont like) at my moms, a friend had sent it from a REAL DELI IN NY. oh my god. if the salami around here tasted like that, id eat it all the time. probably wasnt labeled gourmet, but i would consider it that. using a special work intensive process (like fine vinegars compared to common vinegars) can jack up the price because of the cost of making things.
most things that are labeled gourmet really arent though.

that salami and provolone wasnt "gourmet" more along the lines of "genuine"

Gourmet, like, a french guy is waiting on you. Has every type of snail you could request. Violins in the background, and everything is $599.99

Gourmet is a cultural ideal associated with the culinary arts of fine food and drink, or haute cuisine, which is characterised by elaborate preparations and presentations of large meals of small, often quite rich courses.

    What he said... well, typed.

I think the word is hijacked for labeling food that isn't anything special as a pretense of overcharging so...

    ...and...
Particularly in the case of marketing cat food.

I think your slang is composed of something a bit more organic that helps give crops a nice boost after they've been planted... crops that might be turned into gourmet foods for you to enjoy.
