Short use of methadone to keep out of withdrawals

Got a bud who is outta Opies, but hes got about 25 10mg Methadone. His refill is thursday,whats his best use of these? I think his tolerance is 120mg/day of oxy to stay well. Since I dont have any experience with it, I didnt want to take a guess. Any ideas? He also has no experience with Done. And NO, lending him Opies isnt an option, he doesnt live close, lol.

 

That will keephim out of WD, bottle. The best way to take the pills and get the most effect out of them is to drop them in a shot of water and dissolve and drink them. I have alot of experience with them and have tried everyday and this is the best. He's only got a 120mg a day habit so I'd take 30-40 that way and hopefully that's enough to last the day. It is a long-lasting drug compared to OC.

 

So should he take like 30mg in water say like in the morning and then again the next morning? How will he be waking up? I guess with the long half life, he should feel fine in the morning? thats actually close to what I told him after searching conversions charts on its use, I came up with about 15mg twice a day, But youre saying do it once, in the morning to last all day?

 

So he said he took 15 mg in the morning and 15mg late afternoon and was completely normal, cept for feeling a bit jittery, like he drank too much coffee...

 

I had a 40 mg wafer and only took a qquarter every 12 our and was fine......I wouldn't take 30mg at once.......

 

yeah he didnt, that seemed a bit much to me. Ive talked to him today, he says he feels perfectly normal.

 

there is alot of confusion about methadones half life, the half life, of 3-5 days, DOES NOT mean the effects last that long, far from it, that is just how long it stays in your system, for me, 2-10mg tabs last about 4 hours, but Ive mixed alot with methadone and never had any problems, although they say its long half life is why many people die from it, or mixing it with other narcotics. Ive also read that methadone does not produce a euphoria type high, but that is so wrong, I feel great when Im on it, and it last much longer than many other narcotics, but i guess it effects everybody different?
