Any fans here? I know its very new country but nonetheless its country....I just saw her and Rascal Flatts in concert in Scranton, PA and it was AWESOME!!!
Aww...I wish I could have gone. I like her music. Yeah I agree with you it's not totally country but she's pretty good.
I also agree, she isn't 100% country, but I really like the fact that she writes her own songs and plays guitar. I have seen her on a few live TV shows and sadly she sounds pretty bad live. However I do like her music and she seems to have a fun, entertaining personality so I still like her.
i think she's over rated but she does have a helluva voice, and i can't help but love that song 'white horse'
I must admit I did like Love Story when I heard it first on the radio. Then I found out she was a 17 year old teenie bopper and felt very embarrassed.
I hated that I would sing along to that song. I'm going to Nashville soon, so will find the real country music!
Taylor Swift is the most overrated singer in country music today. I think George Jones said it the best. She isn't country at all.
I'm still pissed because her song won over Trace Adkins "You're Gonna Miss This". That's one of the most beautiful songs in country music.
lol! I'd so be there, especially if you let me be in the wedding! Anyway, I must agree with those of you who think she is talented. I also think it's quite neat she writes her own songs about her life and her love life. I like it when artists are real. I'm not a big country fan, so I don't listen to country stations.. I think she is more pop as well, but like I said, don't know much about country! (Except what I grew up on.. Always will love George Strait and good ole Garth!
I don't feel like she has any real world experience and that is going to hold her back. Real artists grow as musicians. Unfortunately for her, taylor swift will most likely be just another phase in pop culture. Lately I feel like the people in charge of the country music scene trot out some young girl with ability to sing (which are a dime a dozen for anyone who remembers high school) and dump her off on celebrity rehab when she gets too old or falls out of favor. Its a vicious cycle but that's what the current entertainment industry is all about. Does anyone know if she writes her own lyrics?
I LUURRRVE the song "Breathe" by her. It's actually really well-written in my opinion. I like her voice, too. Sure, she's no Trisha Yearwood, but so what? Taylor's voice sounds nice to me tone-wise, and in my opinion that's sometimes more important than how "well" you can sing.
Only a few songs on her first CD are legitimately country. "Tim McGraw" is the only song of hers I respect.
