    Here's the situation:

A friend has recently found a steady source of codeine phosphate from overseas (U.K.). (S)he has it mailed via Royal Mail in an innocuous looking envelope--no signing is required, it just comes to the mailbox. What would be the likely outcome if the package were discovered by someone between its origin and destination? And what could be done to reduce the risk of discovery?

The DEA website lists codeine in several different scheduling classes depending on dose and what it's mixed with, but it's OTC in the supplier's country and comes in little blister packs.

Additional info: the codeine is 30 mg. tablets (no APAP). The buyer pays with PayPal and lives in the Southwestern US.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, as I can't get a straight answer anywhere else. THANK YOU!

if it is found(which is unlikely), you will simply receive a letter saying your package has been seized it will ask you if you wish to try and claim it as yours anyway (dont do that obviously), otherwise it will be confiscated. the reason they do this is it is impossible to prove that you had intended to order. it. if the package was seized in the US it will be impossible to prosecute your friend since she is not in the country.
the problem with your plan is paypal. it is not at all secure and they will always report suspicious charges. pay via western union or moneygram. they have locations everywhere(walmart cvs etc.)

sources: i have received lsd pills mushrooms cannabsis and mdma shippd from both domestic and international locations

THANK YOU! I've heard the loveletter thing before but only in reference to online pharmacies and such. Now off to research Paypal's definition of "suspicious charges."

Paypal isn't worried about you. If they find the charges suspicious they'll pull the vendors account.

Sweet. Would be a nightmare if they closed my account because it's where my paychecks go. I once had them hold a payment from an employer for a really weird reason...I forget. Seems pretty random how they decide which accounts to suspend.

    THANKS AGAIN for your help!
