Wow man, awesome looking dreads. I just started some myself the other day (first time, kinda sketchy) and I'm just wondering what kinds of things you do maintenance-wise? I've noticed through my lurking that you guys are completely against almost everything I've been told to do by friends, web sites etc. I will find my own way of doing things through trial and error but I just wanna get as many ideas as I can from people with beautiful dreads.

 

I wash my hair whenever I have an evening free, and I use a crochet hook every now and then to keep them relatively neat for work. I also wear a wool hat when they need a bit of squashing (they're so short they still do that Hellraiser thing).

I don't use any products (other than shampoo)

cool. so, what are you doing with them now? hopefully nothing.

 

I play with them on autopilot at my desk, I joined two up recently, I maintain the "frizz crown" for work. And I'm using T-Gel to wash em. The wool hat still makes an occasional appearance too!

i don't know why, but i've always assumed you had super long dreads. and that you were a brunette. it appears i am mistaken.
