brought tacos to work because it was my friend Katie's last day. bittersweet because I have a job because she is leaving, yet she was the first person I met at the school and I will miss seeing her around. she still lives nearby, though, and we have business endeavors in the works... we macgyvered open a bottle of shitty wine and pissed away the last hour. getting paid to get drunk always feels nice.

went out to lunch with my friend and this escobar looking guy, he buys our lunch (oysters, tuna, and bloody marys) and then sells me an 8 of c'caine. So, did I get a cheap 1/8, or an expensive lunch?

My beloved 400D is near breaking point. I'd like to get one off eBay but, I'm not paying £375 plus for an out of production, 5 year old body.
All the seller pics of the cheaper ones have the body cap taken off exposing the sensor, IT'S NOT A FUCKING CAR WE DON'T NEED TO SEE THE INSIDE!
Leaves me wondering whether anyone looks after their fucking cameras anymore.

TL;DR I no longer have a back up SLR which sucks.

Also, I want a large danbo figure to do some fine art. I need a rich husband, really.

 

Get a 7d or a 550d there more expensive but do video and are awesome

550D < 400D, true story. 7D is overpriced, not even full frame, shit. Also, I don't want or need video.

All I need is my 50D as a main body and a 400D for my back up body. Thank GOD it's the camera's problem and not my relatively new 50mm lens' problem.

TL;DR

I am not paying £550 for an underperforming entry level SLR.

I'll give you £100 for the 400D, body only, and not a penny moar.

 

I have a 7D and for my needs it was worth every penny. But a huge reason we bought it was for the video, which is indeed phenomnom. Better than the 5D MarkII imho and cheaper. but still effing expensive. fucking cameras.

 

I was largely unimpressed. 18megapickles on an APS-C sensor is just a bad move, all those puxels packed into the same size sensor as the rebel... I'm appalled that manufacturers of SLR's have jumped on to the megapickles scam. 50D copes very well with the amount of pickles compared to 7D IMO. I hope that Canon doesn't make all its future models video capable because that would suck and I'm not paying a few hundred more for something I will never use.

 

today i hit some golf balls and threw some knives. going to see suckerpunch in a bit. then, working on cutting this power point in half for my presentation.

 

I love the video on my dSLR, but the 7D cost waaaaaaaay too much for a crop sensor (still nearly got talked into buying on though)

Today I dumped a load of clothes down the charity clothes vault thingy, and found a big round sweet jar left outside the glass recycling bank which I decided didn't need to be smashed up and used for cullet. The I got home and pour a nice glaqss of pepsi max in one of those coke glasses Mc Donalds gives away every summer and when I was carrying it out the kitchen the bottom just dropped right out the glass, I didn't even put ice in it! I obviously need to consult DV on their correct use.

 

Welll ... hmmm, just finished drinking a bottle of red, smoked a bit too ... and trying to figure out how to get out of my dumb, boring life without having to get divorced ... but somehow there just seems to be no solution

Wow, sorry for the wine-talk, umm, ja, i met my wife 15 years ago ... i have ageing issues though, that's all; and i guess i chose a dumb, boring life so that i can be with her ... but it's not like she is that different from most people our age now, you know, 'grown-up' uke:

You obviously didn't calibrate the base with the rest of the glass, let alone the whole glass with the prefered liquid. Jees.

Sat night went out with work people, got drunk, did karoke, bloke stayed round. Sunday .. er.. oh yea, worked 11-3, went round bloke's house, stayed over. Today, got up late, went straight to uni, did glass all day- I made 2 small shells and 3 large ones with my new colours <3 fucking love it. I am proud of myself today ^^ Just played guitar hero to wind down (lots of adrenaline today with the cycling and glass). Now I think I'm going to watch how I met your mother while making a crocheted sheep for bloke, while I wait for him to come over and make me some food. ^^

 

Trying to read Fear and Loathing.

I drift between thinking "it's utter shit, I don't want to read anymore of it" to "can't put it down, wanna read on" "it's utter shit I don't want to read anymore of it" to "can't put it down, wanna read on".

I had a dream last night that I wanted to share... i was playing with my dreads and one was starting to unravel a bit (they are young anyway). so i poked some more, and i realised that my "dread" was actually just hair wrapped around a tube of cotton wool! i was mortified!! so i investigated some other dreads and they had cotton wool inside them too. i started pulling it out. then the stuff inside the dread became other things... My key chain is one of those moroccan tassel things, and inside one dread was a little ball of these tassels... it felt a little Blair Witch!
perhaps the cotton wool etc is a manifestation of my thoughts at the moment... i'm washing with bar soap (i think knottyboy), and i'm wondering if i'm getting residue that will bite me later on. i got it in my eye the other day and it stung like a bitch, so started me wondering that maybe it's not so good.

Just wasted forty quid on a flash gun that I have now realised, probably can't even be used on a fucking camera hotshoe. I'm a complete flashgun noob and feeling quite sick about wasting such a huge amount of money.

Because I don't understand a word those technigarb fucknuggets were saying and thought all flashguns work the same way.

I wanted a cheap flash gun to practice with but apparently you can't get TTL flash guns for forty quid. To be honest, I don't even know what Through the Lens even means when it comes to flash guns.

So I don't even know how it's possible to use a manual flash, if manual means you have to trigger it yourself and press the camera shutter at the exact same time, then whatthefuckhowdopeopleusethisshit.jpg
