    Hello everyone!

My question goes to the older community of this forum.
What I am really interested is, what are your general truths about life.

-Is there justice in our life??
Did everybody get what they ve deserved?

-Is our life that bad as we describe it, or are we making fuss about it ?

    -Do you believe in fate?

    -Did you reach your goals?

-Did you let your life take you, without worrying about anything, or everything had to go by the plan?

-If you were about to die, what would be your last message(advise) for the younger generations?

What do you mean by older?
    Why do you specify older?

I feel like I knew the truth better the younger I was.

-Is there justice in our life??

No, too many arbitrary things will effect our lives (disease, natural disaster ect) for there to be considered justice

-Did everybody get what they ve deserved?

yes, one lifetime, that's the deal ... no refund if disastified with the service

-Is our life that bad as we describe it, or are we making fuss about it ?

i'm not working in a cotton mill, coal mine or burying dead children, so something must be going right

    -Do you believe in fate?

    no

    -Did you reach your goals?

    never had any

-Did you let your life take you, without worrying about anything, or everything had to go by the plan?

both, i forgot to make a plan B

-If you were about to die, what would be your last message(advise) for the younger generations?

Find a soul you can love ... use a god you can trust... don't take it all too seriously :mickey:

Yes, it is described in nature.

Everyone gets what they insist on having

Life is exactly as you describe it, don't be so hasty to make a determination.

everything happens now or not at all.

everything happens now or it is not happening

I show up, sometimes I pay attention.

    Don't worry.

For some, in some places, there may be something like it. For others there's none.

In general, many don't get 'what they deserve'. Young kids are being killed by bombs in diverse locations - I can't see how they deserve that.

It's a mixture of good and bad. If we don't make enough fuss about some things, it may be set to get worse in the future.

Our life is bad from the standpoint of energy consumption, polluting technologies, narrow systems of mind control, destruction of natural environments, etc etc etc......
From the individual subjective standpoint, life for some probably seems rosy. But every rose has it's thorn.

I think there's something you could call destiny. Don't ask for a linear explanation of how that might work. Perhaps it's a clock set ticking by the universe millenia ago.

Some I reached, others I hope to reach. Yet others turned out not to be worthwhile.

Not having much in the way of a plan, I still manage to worry at times.

    -
Somehow, we have to turn things around - save the natural world. Otherwise there may not be many more younger generations.

definitely not, even if i'm not always sure what people actually deserve

the ones i am sure of seem to get away with it

vast quantities of it suck, surrounding minute flashes of overwhelming joy

i can only remember the sucky parts most of the time, which is hardly fair

    no

wait, let me throw the sticks . . .

no, not that mine were particularly spectacular

have set new goals that i'm fairly confident about in that they merely describe my current situation

worried about a lot, mostly because things always seemed to be going wrong

have learned better how to ignore wrongness to some degree [should be ignoring rightness too?]

    i need a toothpick

    Thanks for the replies!
But the I am more interested in examples from your own life.

Of course it does not seem right that there are natural disasters with innocent victims, but that is something where I cant really relate myself.
Because it did not happen with me.

What I wanted to say with this, okay you guys said a lot of horrible stuff, which are sadly true, but have you experienced yourself.....
-Children s death?Did you see with your eyes?
-Have you been victim of an earthquake, or tsunami, or any kind of natural disaster?

I am more concerned about your personal experiences.

What if they are less than sensational? I suggest readers digest.

My wife expired while I was performing cpr on her. Was it horrible, no it was terribly enlightening.

I've never seen a child die in front of my eyes, but I know a man who has. And it certainly wrecked his life.
This pal of mine was a british soldier sent to northen ireland during the 70's when the troubles were at their peak. One day, he had to attend a bombing incident, and there, had to pick up the mangled corpse of a dead baby and put it into a black plastic bodybag.Quite rapidly he began to crack up.

The trauma got him discharged from the army, and for many years he's been a hopeless drug addict - the only thing that surprises me is that he isn't dead himself by now.

Did he deserve that? Some might say that since as a soldier he was up for violence, it was only right he see the fruits of violence in a direct way.
I don't know though - I doubt he was thinking of fighting catholics when he signed up - probably another kid with little idea of what he was really getting into. And all it did was totally screw up his head.

I've had some bad experiences - severe injury in a car smash, military imprisonment, a period of alcohol abuse, - But I've also had some fantastic times as well. My daughter growing up to be a lovely and intelligent young woman, the growth of my own insights, beautiful people I've known. And come so far from where I set out that I can't really complain. Yet I do! But mainly it's bigger issues - societal, environmental and so on that get my goat.

In a way we're all victims of society, just that for some the ride is more cushioned than for others.

    Hi

That depends on who the judge is. I can see disease as an injustice, but perhaps it's exactly what we deserve as a result of our species raping and killing the environment and poisoning our own food in the name of corporate interest.

Who is they? Some people certainly receive things they don't deserve, in my opinion. This is the tragedy that is sometimes life.

Depends who you ask. Many will argue that we're not free and there's nothing we con do about it. Others will say that life is great and that freedom is a simple choice. It can be as good or as bad as one makes it.

I hate this question because I've never been able to answer it. I've certainly experienced things that seemed like fate afterwards. At the same time, life proves chaos every day.

Some. One of my biggest goals is, "Don't die today." I'd say that I'm doing alright, so far...

This will sound completely cliche, but I see life like a river. I have a paddle, but the rest is up to the tide. All I can really do is choose my speed, direction, and when I get off the boat.

-Is there justice in our life??

Yes, even though we don't always see it at first.

-Did everybody get what they ve deserved?

Yes. Sooner or later, karma will knock at the door and you'll have to pay (or get paid). You reap what you sow.

-Is our life that bad as we describe it, or are we making fuss about it ?

I don't get why people say life is bad, life is awesome if you want it to be that way.

    -Do you believe in fate?

Yes! Everything happens for a logical reason, I doubt there's such a thing as free will or coincidence.

    -Did you reach your goals?

I didn't reach everything I dreamed of when I was younger, but my lot in life is way more awesome than what I planned first so I'm happy.

-Did you let your life take you, without worrying about anything, or everything had to go by the plan?

Plans always get screwed up, so I go with the flow and for now it works fine.

-If you were about to die, what would be your last message(advise) for the younger generations?

truth isn't mine, yours, or anyone's. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.
