So I'm going to start selling soon and I bought myself a scale at Staples. Scales are expensive and the one I got was the cheapest digital one they sold. But...it doesn't measure in fractions of a gram, so I can't measure out a half gram or 1.3 g or something like that. If I only deal in full grams, can I be reasonably sure that when I say I'm selling a gram, I really am or is this scale not reliable enough? And for anyone interested about the sort of dealing operation I'm setting up, I'm buying a quarter of headies and selling for $20 a gram. The person who is selling me the quarter sells a gram for $20 and is pretty successful with it (his weed is really good, but I don't know if its a specific strain). This is going to be a strictly small-time thing, I'm just hoping to make enough profit to cover my own weed habit. :afro:
put the scale at zero. put a nickel on it. if it doesn't say 5.0 or 4.9... your scale is fuckt. every nickel should be 5.0 or 4.9ish.
so...there's no decimal on the number that the scale shows? Like it'll show 1 or 2, but nothing in between? If so...Its your money, man. If you want to give weed away, go with the cheapo scale.
they are not that expensive, I have a scale that measures in 10mg incriments, with a lifetime warranty for 80$ (40$ US)
I found a scale that weighs up to 100 grams for $20. I've had it for about a year now and I use it all the time.
Get a plastic sushi tray or something similar to that to place on the scale, you won't break it that way, and it goes so much quicker .
Return it and get your money back. No legit dealer should own a scale like that. If you are going to do it, do it right. Buy a scale that weighs to the .1g. You can buy one online that is more accurate and much cheaper than the one you got at staples. American Weigh is a common, cheap, accurate scale company. Ebay has hundreds of .1 scales for less than $10 shipping included.
