I like that, it's a good lesson to learn. I used to think I didn't give a fuck what people thought, but I guess I still do... For now. And Glen, I know the feeling man. On my very first day, a girl I work with was like "What did you do to your hair!? You look so goofy". Even though I know she was just kinda playing around I thought about it alllll day.
my dreadz started out really waxy took about 10 months of washing and sea swimming to be rid of the stickyness give them time she'll be right
AHE'M....What Was That..???????? As I Understand It "She'll Be Right" Is An Expression That Has Been Copyrighted By The People Of Orstralia, There Is Nothing, Not Even In The "Fine Print" That Gives A "Sheep Shagging"......"Strange Walking Bird" The Right To Use It.... Just Say'n...:toetap05:. Cheers Glen.
Aaaahhh here we go again with them Australians always trying to claim that they invented things that everybody knows us Kiwis invented
It Really Has No Bearing On Your Previous Posts, But I Would Still Like To Ask You A Simple Question......Do You Have A Personal Insurance Policy That Covers You For Unforseen Accidents....? Cheers Glen.
I had crazy side show bob hair for a long time before mine settled down. And once they did settle down I still got a lot of comments from ignorant people. My best friend told me that if I wanted to be in her wedding I'd cut them off, because she was convinced I'd ruin her wedding if I showed up with dreadlocks. This is after I'd had them for about 10 months, you'd think she would have been used to them. She wasn't my best friend after that. Not everybody's going to like your hair. A lot of people don't know about dreads...they think that they're dirty or gross. You'll get the support you need here though, as long as you can weed through the bullshit you'll be able to find some great advice and support. They'll look pretty great once you wash the wax out...basically what everybody else has said, take the bands out, get rid of the wax, leave your hair alone. let them mature before you mess with them too much. if you can crochet, make yourself some wool hats. If not, try and find some. They help a LOT.
boil the wax out of your hair, remembering to remove the rubber bands before doing so. love, your local moderator /constructive criticism
Hmmm ... so you want a hairstyle that stands out from the norm, but at the same time you don't want anybody to look at it? D
I never said I didn't want anyone to look at it... Of course I do, I'm just not used to being looked at all the time. The thing that bothers me is that they're not "good" looks, they're looks of "wtf is wrong with that guys hair?" or "are those supposed to be dreadlocks?". But like I said, I'll get used to it and it will be worth it in the end. Zilla, thank you.
OK ... but just get all that ctrap out of your hair and you will feel a lot better about yourself; and i'm sure you will get less looks too Good ... now you're learning :2thumbsup: D
dude, get ready to live your life in a bubble. if you can't handle the stares, no matter their "tone", this is not right for you.
This is your first test of not caring what people think of you. We're actually trying to help, in our own special way
damn you'd think people would get over their butthurtedness, but some stay bitter, and can't seem to move on. hopefully, the OP won't be one of those people.
Screw the people who look, just ignore them, it's as easy as that, they're the ignorant ones not you, you're also going to get negative comments too, just be polite to them, show your the better person !!!
I don't know how many times I have to say "I WILL GET USED TO IT". People staring I mean. Don't tell me that dreadlocks are not for me, that's such BS.
Somehow I had a feeling you would miss the most important word: Now when you chuck it all together, it comes out like this: See, without that vital word, the meaning chenges completely D
