I'm not talking about just playing an instrument. Has anyone tried making tunes with Ableton or FL Studio or something of the like while tripping. I find being stoned makes me more creative with this stuff, so it'd be interesting to see what it's like while tripping on a lowish dose.

I can see how you can play an instrument tripping (I play guitar and bass and its fucking awesome). But ableton? jesus that shit would be like trying to decipher ancient hieroglyphics on even a low dose of L (unless of course you know EXACTLY what your doing). haha i would never be able to pull that off. But dont get me wrong, LSD inspires a TON of creativity.

Fruity loops is weird tripping. I can make like a 20 second beat, and then shit just gets too confusing.

The audio starts sounding all different, the screen is moving, and you just can't really get in there. If you used ableton or fruity loops all day itd probably be easier.

If you have a midi keyboard tho, its awesome to turn the settings to some trippy arpeggiator and some glitch noises, and then just go at it, have some fun wailing on it. Make your own shpongle, woop woop!

Never used programs like that while tripping before.. though i do love just playing my guitar while tripping..i managed to recorded a few songs with audacity (free music recording program)..and they sounded sick when i listened to em' the next day! :p

but i remember when i was having a pretty strong mushroom trip..i would simply play one string on my guitar or a simple chord.. and the sound was just astonishing...amazing on so many levels! it was like i was just so in tune with everything around me..my strings were changing colors and just flowingggg haha.. was a pretty awesome/intense time!

I would love to play while trippin' some time. However, my fingers turn to sausages, and generally lack the will. Tis' unfortunate.

Hmm, I suppose it wouldn't really work. Since I'm barely lucid enough to play guitar properly, I doubt I'll be able to do much with Ableton. If I had some good sounds sorted out, I could probably just play around with that, I suppose.

Done it. Love it. You don't need much. I only take a hit or so. Enough to amp up the intimacy with the instrument but not lower your competence with the instrument itself.

7 hours of fun. Yes just sitting there with a guitar.

Hmm, not sure about any sort of production, I find focusing in grids etc can get a bitt much when off my nuts lol I can just about manage mixing records when tripping - I have DJ'ed for years and years though. Playing with effects, pitch and speed can really produce some interesting effects!

I use analogue, korg emx, roland mc-09 and kaoss pad 3.

It doesn't work too well, get bored and just put music on through speakers.
