you see ive created this world and drawn characters and created a saga of storys in this world... its kinda like final fantasy story telling skills and i got it all planned out... only problem is people tell me i have to go to college and stuff to become a designer... i beileave though that it would do just as good as final fantasy i dont really care to accually make the game but if i gave a company a portfolio of all my ideas for this one game what are the chances they will accually look at it and consider buying the idea from me i really do think its unique and its a GREAT story and stuff... i just want credit and want to see it created...
this is a good question. I don't know how you could get your foot in the door, but I don't think that you would have to have a college degree in order for a company to consider your idea. I think that if you keep posting on-line in game related forums, you might get some good tips
thats what i was thinking ... so what would i do... go in there and just be like dude i got a gold mine look at it... if you want it... i want $
at this stage, I think it's more a question of networking with other people who know about the gaming industry. hopefully someone can give you the inside scoop on how to get this together. I don't think it is likely that you will find someone who is going to give you cash right away for your idea. rather, someone out there might be able to tell you the most likely path an idea can follow to be turned into reality. you might want to look for other sites that have a more active gaming forum you can also read articles on the web, such as this one http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Your-Video-Game-Idea-Turned-to-Reality can't vouch for the article, it's just what I found with a search this article suggests making an art storyboard, then contacting video game developers and finding out if they are soliciting ideas
