Nope. Not sure what the first one is but by the areoles and spines tell me it's not a trichocereus. Probably not active. Wicked looking spines though. The second one is a pilocereus species and is definitely not active.
Funny story, I got the pilocereus one free because it fell on the worker on a completely unrelated incident today. I wonder if peyote can be grafted on it?
Not sure about the grafting. I don't see why not, but it's much easier to do on spineless cacti. If you wanna find out more, get seeds or new plants, you should go to Psychonaut on Prince-Arthur. They have all you can think of and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
Coincidences! I just read your reply. I went to psychonaut earlier today with a friend who needed a scale Those little grafted peyotes they have are ADORABLE. But expensive! I'm not TOO interested in grafting. I just have some 2cm peyotes lying around, figured, well I have a new columnar cactus for free! Might as well right?
Ahah that's great. I love this shop so bad, I always get out of there with a little something. As for the grafting, I would say not to do it uselessly, it's kinda rough on both the stock and scion. If your peyote babies are doing fine for now, I'd suggest you set them free.
