I'm thinking about a neck tattoo of a broken mirror.
But I feel like its going to hurt like bitch. If any of you have a neck tattoo can you tell me?

    Here is the tattoo

The neck doesn't really hurt to bad. that would be easy depending on how big it is, because the more needles they use at once the less it will hurt.

If you want to be taken seriously in life at all, do not get a neck tattoo.

You have a ton of nerves in your neck, so yes, it will hurt. You also have easy access to arteries, which means it is more painful and you have a higher risk of bleeding complications, infections, and all kinds of yucky stuff. If you get a local infection, it can quickly become a systemic infection that can affect your heart and brain.

This area is also likely to fade due to almost constant sun exposure. Aside from the preconceived notions about people with neck tattoos, it just won't look nice for long.

It's a tattoo. It's going to hurt. If you want it, go for it! The pain is temporary and the end result is worth it. I don't really have a big neck tattoo, but I have one behind my ear and down a little bit, and I know that one didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. So depending on where you get it on your neck maybe it won't be as bad.

    I agree w Lucretia...

As far as the pain tho, the neck wasn't really that bad. I have a Ganesha about 3 in tall on the back of my neck. I would say the only really bad part was when she was tattooing on my spine. The rest was cake. I can definitely see how it would fade in a spot like that. We shall see, this is the first summer I've had it.

All in all, I say if you want it, go for it! Like creedlespeak said tho, just make sure you take good care of it and you should be fine.

If you really want the tattoo I'm sure you can endure the pain. Just be sure you choose something you want the rest of your life. No, not being judgmental, but there are a lot of folks who wish they hadn't done it a year or two later. Just a comment,...
