I was browsing through Cock & Bull yesterday with interest. I like satire. Have you read him? Any recommendations?

Cock And Bull is funny. I find though, you have to be in the mood for Will coz he can be a bit hard going. Having said that, I've read a fair bit of his stuff - Of the novel How The Dead Live and Great Apes are two I remember enjoying & a book of short stories called Tough Tough Toys For Tough Tough Boys as well as a collection of his journalism called Junk Mail.

And I've just remembered Dr Mukti & Other Tales of Woe, and Grey Area that are also short story collections. There's a story in Dr Mukti set in a block of flats in Liverpool which I particularly enjoyed.

    Hope this helps.

Funny I saw Will Self a couple of years ago in London as he was going into a theatre. i dont find his books all that funny and I think his name is quite apt. He is too self absorbed for me, however my partner really likes his books she thinks he is excellent.
He does however have an interesting personal story, he has done interesting things and the person himself is worth reading about
