Yeah thanks for updating. I missed this incredible story the first time it was up, so I give you a belated thanks for posting it. The injured dog reminded me of something Ram Dass said in Grist for the Mill. He was housesitting for someone at Big Sur and would meditate lotus style and every morning the house cat would go outside to catch prey such as birds and lizards. Then the cat would sit in Ram's lap to devour the prey, sometimes still alive. At first it was an obstacle for him, he found it gruesome and troubling and "didn't know who to love or who to hate." But he learned to integrate it and without getting specific said it brought him tremendous understanding about that particular level of our existence. Anyway, what a thing to witness at the onset of a trip, props for turning it blissful. I think I woulda freaked if my dog wandered away after seeing the accident earlier. I don't have a dog, but various dogs have contributed to my trips enormously.
Great trip report!! Im trying LSD for the first time tomorrow, and reading your report has gotten me even more excited to do it! So glad to hear the dog`s ok too!
Aw well, you're welcome And thanks for the thoughts about Ram Dass, because I too would find that troubling (having an animal devour another dead animal on my lap). i'll have to think about it for awhile in order to come to peace with the idea, maybe too I'll find understanding in it. Dogs are amazing, all the time; they are man's best friend. On LSD, it becomes an even stronger bond :2thumbsup: Thank you! And good energies to your first trip, I'm sure it will be swell :sunny:
