Are we going to need a prescription to take a shit and have a period in the future?

I work in retail and I just get frustrated with having to ask every customer who buys a product that contains trace amounts of DXM for their id. If it was a simple procedure like it used to be I wouldn't even bother asking, but the computer actually locks me out til i swipe their id. Some sudafed products do it as well. I randomly imagined a future where they card for you exlax (since it makes you 'feel better' by allowing you to poop) and midol .(makes you 'feel better' by helping with cramps) Customers are so misinformed to almost every single one either says "it must be because you can make meth" or "there is alcohol in it" I dunno I know this is just a rant, but i'm even being prescribed vicodin right now for a medical problem and even that seems like it should be easier to get (with less apap) just drug rules/laws are frustrating.

Maybe there are underground DXM rings I don't know about or something, it just seems like a weird thing to target. A lot of people who do DXM to get high don't even enjoy it.... just a rant

 

lol I got carded once for DXM(one of the few times I wasn't actually using it to robotrip) at wal-mart, I mean I was 18 so whatever but the guy was like "yea people huff this shit or something to get high so we have to card"

Wal-mart is the only place that's ever carded me for cough medicine though

 

when i used to work retail and had to card for dxm people said the same shit. usually some soccer mom in a know-it-all voice "it's so drug dealers can't make meth" when their 12 year old son is just going to get sick of the bullshit his parents put him through and drink the entire bottle alone in his well kept room in the middle of the night...

When 2011 hit and it became law to card people for DXM (according to CVS), I therefore went to Walmart and saved a ton of money (>$25 value, no prosecution). Effective legislation right thur.

 

I've bought Robitussin with only DXM as an active ingredient this year and never got carded.

 

Not too long ago I went to the store to get some Nyquil because I was sick as hell. Seriously, I had the flu, I looked like shit. I was pale as a ghost, bags under the eyes, runny nose. The lady there carded me and gave me a bad ass look, like I was going to rush to a trailer park and cook up meth right after I left there. In all seriousness though, I don't really care whether they card me or not, I'm against meth and everything it entails, so whatever it takes to give meth cooks a harder time getting there shit is fine by me.

 

dxm and meth are not even close to the same...

I got carded at Wallmart for buying super glue.

 

a lot of places in indiana you gotta have a prescription for syringes....when i first moved down here, i was going to the local hometown farmacy and buying them, signing my name, or some name i made up. last time i walked in there, the lady gave me a dirty look, said i gotta have a script

 

Do you work at Target? That's where I work, and it does the same. This lady only bought a bottle of some medicine and I scanned it and went to say the total and it says "Swipe ID". I'm just like wtf? I'm like "I have to scan ID for this....." she's like "Its children's medicine..." but she was laughing about it, she wasn't mad or anything. Although she had to go get her ID from her car.

I'm 17, but I look kinda young. Will I get carded no matter what? Or do some places not care(for DXM)?

 

Think thats bad I got carded for buying moly grease for my truck, apparently you can get high off it or some shit, I do not see how.
