Ive just seen this movie, and I quite enjoyed it.. good little message and very touching. but dont you think its a bit about the bible?? I think it could be thought that way. the bible and the father seem a bit the same..... liked to overexaggerate things for effect. but based partly in truth.
i loved this movie. i loved that it seemed to indicate that fantasy and reality are two realms laced together. i always like that idea, that something completly illogical could in fact be the underlying reality. i dont think it had anything to do with the bible though, but i get what youre saying. it was a cute movie
its one of my favorite movies. the dad remids me a lot of my dad, he used to tell REALLY exagurated stories! i loved the way he told them-he used to make up really funny voices for different people...oops, kinda strayed off the subject. anyways, how does it seem like the bible? (its been a while since ive seen it)
well, I thought lying and exaggerating was a bad trait that some people have..... but all in all, actually its pretty smart, because you end up immortal..... people will talk about you for centuries...
well....... the reason why I compare it to the bible is that, do you think people would follow the bible so much if it wasnt so farfetched, fairytale like?? do you honestly believe people lived to be 800 years old in the bible?? what about noah collecting 2 of each species of animals for his ark ?? what about the whale that swallowed jonas?? the big fish to me compares to the whole jonas and the whale story... and what about the taming of the giant, does that resemble david and goliath???? and all those stories in the bible are immortal long after all of those people died...... I just see some similarities.
loved this movie. couldn't believe the guy's son was the same actor who was the guitar player in almost famous! polar opposite characters, and so well done! can't remember his name though...
billy crudup. I didnt realize it was the guitar player until I saw the credits and saw his name.... I remember billy crudup from almost famous, but the guy on big fish looked like that dorky lead singer from train, so that threw me off.
I loved Big Fish... wonderfully done... it's nice to have a colourful feel-good movie like this come out every once in a while...
