HI, This is my first post, if I get things wrong sorry. I have a question about growing poppies in the winter indoors, poppies need a certain amount of light to flower just like Cannabis, correct? if yes would it be possible to put like a 16 watt lamp next to the poppies when in winter when the time is shorter to tell the poppy to continue growing and flowering. For example we are in december and it gets dark at around 5-6pm, I will put a lamp from 5-6pm till 9pm and then the next repeat. Would this work? Thanks

if you find more about this, please let me know, as ive been considering growing poppies so i wont have to keep wasting money buying off the street when im out of my presrciption meds, i would just ingest the raw opium tho, not manufacture it into h or anything else. thanks

16 watts is almost nothing, you would probably need a high watt grow lamp, better yet just Plant them in spring when its still a bit chilly and let em grow in the summer.

I am certain that you could google growing poppies and apply it to those...but in winter I am pretty sure that poppies need to go dormant for a time....then have a "cycle" where the viable opiate would be harvested.
I briefly looked into that "harvesting", and it seems like a lot, lot of trouble.
