Cheryl, howdy girl...San Diego eh. WELL that is where we live (well that is where our Encinitas house is) and if you are comming this way then I am sure you will tell me when and where!! This is a GREAT County to live in for weather!! and great surf too but is a bit more conservative that Northern Cal! Also S.D. is the closest point on the mainland to jump off from if we had to try to find that elusive boat for the Molokai' Escape sail!

This low life cold bloodedly murdered two of our friends over a pack of smokes. Marri was well know in the community for helping and putting up homeless people in her home. After killing her and Larry her boyfriend, he stole Marri's red van. He is suspected of going northwest towards nevada, oregon or washington. The wittness's are also friends of ours for several years and he almost shot her too. If you see this guy please call authorities. Do not attempt to apprehend...he is armed and insanely crazy!!!!!

I cannot rightly say what is going on with the weather. It has a mind of it's own and whatever it has on it's mind it's really pissed off about it. I lived in SD. Lot of sailors there and big ships. The weather is beautifull and the beaches were lovely the last time I was there but that may have changed over the yrs too.

There are several theories on the weather. One is that a government is messing with it (Google HARP) ours or theirs. No ones sure which. Another theory is that the Japan quake and/or the sun flares are causing a polar shift.
My favorite is the one Wallace Black Elk warned us of, Mother Earth is pissed!

 

Hi Ranger WBE was correct!!! The skills of first peoples will be important as the need to rely on fire, clean water, ability to survive on/with a mad Mother Earth may be what saves a lot of folks! I am really bummed out we sold our place in Orygun as that 108 acres was probally one of the safest places on the planet with seven REAL LIVE springs and a 360 degree view from the top of the property, plenty of timber, and way far away from big population centers. Yes it is true that Molokai/Halawa is Eden to be sure but the getting there in tough times will be the difficult part if not planned out!

Things are going to change in the next five years more than we have seen our entire lives I fear!! Both Socially and most likely weather too! The need to provide for ourselves will be top priority as it was before industrial revolution! I guess we shall see how well we (any of us) are prepared to change the current lifestyle. How far we have straied from understanding our basic survival! One positive thing.....being aware may make you prepare!!

I would miss the AC the most. The heat just brings me down and I hope I dont have to walk too far bc my legs just dont want to move like they use to and forget about running, just shoot me if we have to run.

First of all, the guy and his friends were in the Navy. If he really believes all of this, then why doesn't he buy a boat and go farther out into the BLUE part to survive? (Desalinization plant. Algae, fish to eat. No competing for three deer to eat. People shooting at you and trying to kill you because they are redneck survivalists.) What's up with that?

Ranger, one of my basic problems with this map is that is shows a part of Florida still above water while far higher parts of California are under water.

First. Earthquakes. People claim to know all kinds of crap about California and Earthquakes.
The real fact to think about is that the west coast of the U.S. Continental Plate is being pushed up and over top of the Pacific Plate. The Pacific Plate is going under. The U.S. Continental Plate is going over Getting Higher. The Pacific Coast ain’t sinking. It’s going UP. The Pacific Coast has cliffs that prove that it is going up. Tori Pines. Laguna hills. Lands end in S.F. The Marin Headlands. Nor Cal, Or, and Wash. Cliffs. Pushed Up.

Look at this map.
The highest point in the State of Florida is 345 feet, on the Alabama border.
Yet lower parts of Florida are shown above water.

This is shown as being under water. In Southern Cal.

All of the oceans would instantly fly over all of the mountains (like the Himalayas) and just keep spinning around the Earth. It would be many months before they even started to slow down. A different theory. Or is it?

The Earth's magnetic field is created by the spinning of the Earth's metallic core. This is similar to mechanically spinning an electrical generator which creates a magnetic field, and produces electricity as well.

If you change the direction (the orientation) of the spinning generator or the spinning core, then the orientation of magnetic poles will shift in a corresponding manner.

If this is true, then the opposite would be true.
If you change the orientation of magnetic poles, this would then have to pull the orientation of the spinning generator out of alignment to a different direction. The same is true of course of the Earth's metallic core.
Where goes the spinning core, goes the surface.

Remember, the Earth's solid surface is only 20 to 60 miles thick, floating on all hot molten magma. If the Earth was an egg, the solid surface would be less than half the thickness of and eggshell.

oh how i remember the the 80 that summer we spent there. as for the planet thinking a polar shift is fairly close but some say it takes 100s of thousands of year but who knows really maybe its the return of the 12th planet Annuki whatever it is I'm glad i have my 17 year grandson Bubba is here from oregon he can hunt and fish anything and i can grow anything we can make do with odds and ends to make something out of nothing. There's not much hunting in San Diago, but you might be able to fish, it is on the coast and maybe not all the fish are contaiminated yet. I would be looking for a streem or lake to fish, less likely to be contaminated. Be sure to stop by here on your way to SD Cheryl.
