im reading this book right now. it's about a girl growing up in kentucky in 1950 with undiagnosed torrets syndrome.... it's really good so far. has anyone read it?
Gonna see if its at my library....sounds good, I like to read about people overcoming obstacles or who are out of the "norm"......like me...
I did order it and hope its there tomorrow whenI go to town...I'll let you know what I think.. thanks for turnin me on.. teepi
Not that i'd usually admit to reading a book on Oprah's book list but..... This was a pretty good one
I know, Oprah's "list seems so hollywood and glitzy to me...BUT, I put that notion aside and ended up reading one of the best books I've ever read :"The Seat of the Soul" by Gary Zucav....its about being a "multi sensory person instead of just a 5 senses person. But you kinda have to be into that stuff to enjoy it. I also read a book by Sherri Reynolds...The Rapture of Canaan...I think was the title and it was good. About some weird clan of backwoods religious people who think a baby is the second coming of Christ because its born with a slight birth defect. Also by the same author...Bitterrot Landing is really good.About a rape and abuse survivor who struggles to find a way to deal with what has happened to her after she has killed an abuser.
