I know that sports don't seem to be a very popular subject here in general, but I was wondering if anyone else is into this match-up? These two teams have the oldest, nastiest rivalry going in hockey. The games are pretty entertaining. Especially when those little bitches from Boston get all pissy and start throwing dukes :reddevil:

So I was wondering if any bros are getting into this match-up (Imaginary Being? You're a Habs fan). The second game of the series is tonight (Saturday - Hockey Night in Canada). The first game was last Thursday, Montreal skunked Boston at 2-0. Boston, in typical Boston fashion, started to wet their pants by the third period and started taking cheap shots.

Tonight's game should be good. Some have already said that Montreal has a pretty good chance of winning the Stanley Cup this year, though their forwards are a little weak. Price is one of the best goalies of the last 10 years.

i am watching the habs game later... it's on at like midnight here. at the moment the chicago vs vancouver game is on the t.v - hoping vancouver get the win (one up already, so looking good).

i think montreal have a good shot. price is a great goal keeper, cammalleri (?) and plakenec are great forwards though i agree defensively the habs are better.

    you watching it?

I'm definitely watching it, the game starts at 7:00. A few beer in I start to verbally curse the Bruins :D

Vancouver is doing very well this year. I've been watching them since the start of the season, they've played very solid all the way through. Their goalie is great as well.

Yea, those two guys are great players, Montreal though has a weak forward, according to most, so hopefully Price and defense can help to counteract that.

The game just finished. Was a good one.

Montreal won 3-1. That means they're 2-0 in the series. Next game should be Monday night, perhaps in Montreal.

I didn't see the entire game, but did tune into the third!

I'm not so much an NHL fan as I am a Canadiens fan, so if/when they get eliminated I'll stop watching as I really don't care much about the remaining teams.

For me as long as the Habs never lose to Boston or Toronto I'm more then happy :)

    Same here.

Montreal has really good defense this year. Last night they were really sharp. Should hopefully take them far.

And Monday's game is in Montreal. Should be a good one. Montreal fans in Montreal always get roudy as fuck.

Remember a year or two ago when they rioted after a game, tore shit up and burned some police cars...

Monday night the Habs lost to Boston 4-2. It was damn close, but within the last 3 minutes or so Montreal pulled their goalie and Boston got another in. That sealed the game for them.

The next game, game 4 will be tomorrow night (Thursday) in Montreal.

Montreal currently leads the series 2-1

Alright, so, Montreal lost Thursday. The series was thus 2-2. Tonight, Saturday, Hockey Night in Canada, Montreal lost in the second overtime period...

They lost 2-1 to Boston. This was game 5. That means that Boston won 3 games in a row, that is just unacceptable. The series is now lead by the Boston Bruins 3-2...

The next game will be Tuesday, April 26th at 7:00 pm at the Bell Center in Montreal.

I think Habs got it in game 6. Boston is all happy and high (distracted) from their win. Montreal plays a good desperate game. Thomas will get bitched on this time.

Hope you're right The Earth. If they lose tonight, they're done for the season. They're at home too, if they lose, Montreal will probably be in for a real shit storm! :D
