OK, So I was discussing this topic with a few people today, the fact that alcohol and tobacco are legal, yet many drugs are not, both alcohol and tobacco are shown to as bad or worse health wise than many drugs, alcohol leads to impairment worse than many drugs, and causes many many deaths and legal problems when abused, yet NO ONE is pushing for the ban of either one? I assumed it is because both have huge industries behind them and lots of money from taxes and kick backs from lobbyists, I saw in the news the govt is rushing to try ot get some kind of 'fake pot' and these bath salts and plant food banned as quickly as possible, all the while DUIs and alcohol overdoses are on the rise, yet no one is rushing to ban alcohol? I can only guess when the pharmacutical companies get in a position that the alcohol/ tobacco industries are in, they will push for their products to be sold over the counter, and all the taxes that will bring in as well, I thought the pharm. companies were pretty big though, but I guess they arent 'as big' as big tobacco and alcohol? has anyone thought about this can explain this? Im considering writing my senator and congressman about this. its kinda funny they have ER visits due to kratom and salvia d. and they take quick action to get a ban in place, yet the more duis and related problems, they do nothing? Interesting. I imagine the pharm. companies would absolutely LOVE if percocet and roxis were sold over the counter and a special tax imposed, I mean taking percs or roxis DOES NOT impair you nearly as bad as drinking at a bar and trying to drive, people can still drive and function pretty much the same on narcotics compared to alcohol.
Wrong. Two nights ago i was with two friends in Camden, NJ. My buddy who was driving shot two bags of FIRE h. He had also been eating clonazepam earlier that day. Would you consider these too be narcotics? Yes i think you probably would. Guess what happened next, i look over as we are about to drop off our one buddy who copped for us, and the drivers eyes roll into the back of his head, and he blacks out, we hit a fucking curb and he pops his tire, in the middle of Camden. Alcohol is a FUCKED up drug, and so are narcotics. EVERYTHING you want, in MODERATION. there is never, although i could somehow be wrong, legalization of narcotics such as roxis and the like.
that is what people said about alcohol too, it will never be legal, but since it is a huge business, it now is, all depends on how big the pharmacuticals get and what they want, but it would take them wanting all this stuff sold otc to get it done, but not sure they are as big as the alcohol industry yet?
Narcotics will never be legal over the counter, that's retarded. The reason people aren't pushing to make alcohol illegal is because it's a central part of our culture and because most politicians are borderline alcoholics.
Opiates and cocaine were in 1890-1914 perfectly legal to buy mail order, or from your local druggist in whatever amount you wanted to buy,as well as syringes,etc.. opiates are actually as much a part of the culture for the past several hundred years as booze. Booze was actually more expensive than opium tincture and heroin, and so on, so many people took opiates instead of alcohol. But tobacco and Alcohol are big business and have been for a long time. Pharm. companys make more money the brewerys, lol..but pharm companys are not allowed to show a commercial during 1/2 time of the super bowl showing people eating Percocets and Xanax and having a "great time"..it would be public outrage by the common public that has been trained to think that pills are drugs and beer and cigs are for pleasure. Alcohol is a stong drug, and tobacco has nicotine which is addcitive and smoke cause cancer in many people. But popping a few pain pills and a Xanax and getting fucked up while "partying" is illegal, but getting so drunk you blackout after punching your girlfreind or wife and crashing a car, is illegal but more tolerated than using illegal drugs or legal pharm. drugs, both can cause accidents and moderation is key, but overusing alcohol is seen at a right of passage among many in our culture, while even taking a moderate but high dose of opaite pills is always seen my the cops and general public as abuse!!!
clonazepam isnt listed as a narcotic- probably in the benzo family- tranquilers- or something No opiates without a script - unless you count going to a methadone clinic- -and even then , you have to sign a 100 forms- -
