    Isn't the whole idea of democracy that the majority rules? Wouldn't it make sense that when and if more than 50% of the popular vote shows support to legalize cannabis, that it be legalized (and regulated), no questions asked.

    They could treat it like a crop. Problem solved.

    real world vs right world...

    If you could get enough people to make noise about it, it could be forced to a vote... think about the quebec seperating... full support of a party that is focused on it, the majority of people polled (in quebec) say they want to seperate, yet they can never get the votes to actually do it...

    Without the standing government putting forth and passing decriminalization measures, this will be an ongoing fight.

    Was there a point to coming in here and spamming all that?

    You just repeated what has already been said in the thread.

    Even spam for pot, is still spam...

    Just let it grow! Why do some people feel such a need to interfere in the lives of others!

    There really should be a replacement post for spam... you know, something like this...

    The Spam here was deleted, for your enjoyment, may we offer this instead.

    I second this motion. I've had some of my posts deleted, which were in response to spam, and I'd like it if there was some sort of road block set up instead of just deletion.

    ;)

    UPDATE:

    The young man whose case brought forth this ruling has been served his notice of appeal. The government will appeal the ruling.

    Here's a quote from Ontario Superior Court Justice Donald Taliano on April 12, the day of the ruling;

    "the prohibitions against the possession and production of cannabis (marihuana) contained in sections 4 and 7 respectively of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act" are "constitutionally invalid and of no force and effect".

    The judge agreed with him.
