When I was younger, I was always ticked when I couldn't find ice cream trucks during the summer on those hot days. So why don't local ice cream trucks make websites that post their routes for each day of the week?
Today's generation has access to the internet more easily than ever; and all i have to say is that if the drivers made them, I would have gone out of my way with friends to get soft serve ice cream. I can imagine kids planning out their summer days playing baseball at a park and KNOW that an ice cream truck was gonna swing by. I can see profits increasing drastically.

i would assume if you lived on an ice cream truck's route, you would figure it out pretty fast.

I think ice cream trucks are becoming a thing of the past. I saw very few last summer and expect to see less this summer, especially with gas at almost $4.00 a gallon.

Almost? I'm paying $4.39 now. We have a couple ice cream vans, but they just look creepy.

The trucks around here aren't as creepy looking as the drivers are, they usually look like somebody you'd expect to see working as a bouncer at a biker bar instead of driving an ice cream truck.

In the Bronx- -they had hielo condimentado(flavored ice)- -those trucks would park in the same spot all frigging day / playing the same silly music for hours.
-But- when its 90 plus- you not into looking too far for something to cool down with-
so for about 15 cents,(back in the ol days) I got a lemon or pine apple ice- - twisted the cap off the Fire hydrant- -and it was all good

Now you have to call the FD -they have special caps that you cant get off- but the ice trucks are still there- - same places/same music* *

summer in the city-back of my neck feeling hot & gritty,

I have a hunch that I could buy ANYTHING from the ice cream truck that rolls through my hood.

I firmly believe that ice cream truck drivers are gangsters. So if they posted their routes online, I think they'd be setting themselves up for disaster...

When I was in high school, before the snow cone stand up the street opened up, this snow cone van thing would park in front of the school at lunch and play "The Yellow Rose of Texas" over and over and over. It drove us to the point where we faked a sacrifice to him so he'd go away. It worked, apparently theatre kids freaked him out or something. Haha

Just like when I was a kid, I run around constantly and occasionally I run across an ice cream truck. My favorite is as it has always been the vanilla ice cream with fudge in the center.
    - Jezz just can't think of anything better as a kid than my ice cream coming to me!!!!

    I hardly see these anymore.

As a kid they were the fun treat part of the day and it always seemed to taste so much better than getting something out of the freezer.

I've never seen an ice-cream truck in person in my life.
