Damn. just damn. I really hope she is okay. I wonder how often things like this happen and are not reported onto the internet, meaning there is a very positively skewed impression of drug usage on the internet amongst communities that openly discuss it with honesty as opposed to media controlled accounts which are obviously just the other way.
Me too... I'm sure she will be, as there's been many cases where people take MASSIVE doses of LSD or other psychs, and through the insanity and doubt, they always seem to come back.
sorry to hear that this happened. hopefully she will be just fine soon if she hasn't recovered fully when she returns from the hospital, it might be good for her to see an acupuncturist in traditional chinese medical theory, psychedelics can cause what is known as a "shen" disturbance. may be correctable.
I still haven't heard anything from her or her mom. I can't decide whether that's a good or bad thing. @_@
YES, SHE'S OKAY. She just called and we talked for a moment and everything is fine... Holy Christ, I was so scared.
I think she got her parents off my back, but I can't be sure. She said she told them that she got some LSD from a stranger at school named "Tweak" and she says they believed her, hehe.
Heh, just like in school I 'found' a ten bag of weed down the back of a wall when I was sat on it having a cigarette. When I was in class I was asking my friend whether she thought it was really weed (me no know) despite the weed leaf on the bag and the fact it was motherrocking weed!
Thank god man! Did she sound normal? did she spend the night in the hospital? Did they giver her anything? Details brother!
Well, they ran a drug test, which she showed negative for, and a pregnancy test (for God knows what reason), and they sent her home without any chemical help. As far as I know, the ER doctor and her parents completely ignored everything she said while under the influence (about me giving her the 4-aco, etc.), as they must have decided it was meaningless. Unaware of psychedelic drug effects, they assumed that since she had no idea what we did that day, and that she thought she was dead, that all the other stuff must be a load of garbage, too. This morning, they questioned her, after she woke up just fine and sober, and she told them she bought some LSD off a kid at school named "Tweak" (who doesn't exist, of course), and I'm pretty sure they believed it. So, as far as I know, everything is just fine, aside from her being in LOADS of trouble. At least she's safe. And to think I drove around for an hour-and-a-half last night in complete silence wondering what my life would be like in jail, if there was any way to avoid it. Coming down myself, I seriously believed my life was OVER, that I had lost a best friend to psychosis. :biker:
Thanks so much for your help, everyone! I'll be giving +rep to everyone who commented on this thread just as soon as I can. Apparently I've given out too much in the past 24 hours. :2thumbsup:
Sure he does. http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/153606/bang-youre-dead-tweek More to the topic, I'm sorry to read all of this Lumini, and glad your friend is ok. I won't climb on a soapbox, but I hope something valuable has been learned.
Maybe he does exist...but I don't believe her parents will find him. ;o Oh, yes. At least for her. I've still yet to experience something so profound and life-changing. I'm pretty sure she's learned her limit, and what can happen when you push it.
Strong drugs are like a near-death experience without(sometimes) the near-death part. Im glad to hear she made it out ok..I had a similar experience on my 2nd shroom trip. I believed I was dead, alive, and not born yet, all at the same time. Maybe that is just the uncondensed version of reality. Who knows. We have a long ways to go, as far as evolution is concerned. I've not dabbled with may hallucinogens, but out of the ones I've tried, 4-AcO-DMT caused a lot of residual visuals. Phosphenes, visual snow, etc, generally lasting for maybe 2-3 weeks post-trip.
Actually, you should pray to whatever deity you may or may not worship that they DON'T give her an anti-psychotic, especially an atypical one. This sounds like a prototypical case of Serotonin Syndrome induced psychosis. Those medications make the symtoms much, much worse. I know this from personal experience. She may or may not ever come back. I had to fight my way back. You read a bit about that experience over at the Prozac vs. 2cx thread, where I mentioned a bit about developing SS after an acid trip. What you've described sounds quite identical in many regards to the psychotic break I had at age 17. The ONLY drugs that worked to counteract my condition were benzos. Xanax or Ativan (or something akin to either) is about all that can be done for her, I'm sorry to say. She could stay in that state for a few days, few weeks, few months, even years and years. There's no way of telling, honestly. Look at Syd Barrett, for example. Or even Jim Morrisson on a smaller scale. It's sad but true, sometimes for some people even just a little bit is a little bit too much. I'm a major psychedelic proponent, but after my excursion to that dark, dark world I took a several year break from drugs in general. I'm sending good vibes your way and hoping for the best. This sounds truly tragic... Can you see her? Would that help to have a friendly face around? I don't know what to suggest, there's not much that can be done for psychotic breaks caused by SS other than anxiolytic meds and time. I wish I could tell you rosey wonderful things, unfortunately, in this case I cannot
