Question about PC

Can you substitute using a pressure cooker to sterlize by using a pot/pan that has lid that when heated the boiling water stimulates the lid to stick and keeping the pressure inside letting little to no vapor escape? Or is this already accepted and used honestly didn't know.

 

you can steam sterilize but it's a crapshoot. invest in a PC.

 

Yeah wanted to see ill try a trial run with 1 and post results if no contam ill say either way and looking currently at a 21 qt for like 20 bucks. ebay is my friend.

 

Steam sterilization works with manure in a pillow case, then put into boiling water, or raised PF Tek jars in a pot on a low boil for 1hr+15 minutes.

It does work if done properly. Search PF Tek/RR Videos; most of these tuts used steam sterilization
