    Summer days under sunshine haze
beams white diamonds turning with ease
across the backs of lazy waves

Dancing leaves in a ballet breeze
    floating the feathered flock cascades
blowing silken sails from green trees

    Fields full of emerald blades
thousands of spears that pierce the sky
the bed on which the body lays

Above is clear and calm, and dry
The tangerine sky bears the night
The setting sun burns out a cry

Though the moon shines in it's own right
The sun is mourned till morning light
