I see your point. Will the government in any time in the near future? Probably not. Who knows, maybe i'm wrong. Aren't all drugs legal in Portugal now? I was watching something about that the other day. But i mean, napalm is powerful too. Should we all have the right to have access to that? What about nuclear technology? But then again, ANYTHING can potentially become a weapon, or can be destructive to your body. As you said, gasoline, glue, spray paint, etc. Or a car for that matter. So legal or not, anything has the potential to become dangerous, or to be used safely. So i see your point.
I think people should have access to weapons, but not "weapons of mass destruction". You shouldn't be able to go into a gun store and buy tactical nukes, or nerve gas. But should you be able to buy a howitzer, or a minigun? Hell yeah, until the government gets rid of theirs I want the right to my own. We all do have access to napalm. Go to any gas station, buy styrofoam cups, buy enough gas for however many molotovs you're trying to make, and you have napalm incindary grenades. I think the government sees my point very well, but my point is about freeing people, and drug laws are about controlling people, me and the government are working at odds.
Haven't read through the thread, but I believe it should be legalized similar to a driver's license. If there's a minimum age, then it should be 16. But then again, it wouldn't be fair to have pay some big fee for such a spiritual experience. It'd defeat the purpose, and put it out of reach of people. Like you'd be breaking the law unless you paid up for classes and a license. It's something that I haven't thought about for a while. Perhaps a simple mental health evaluation is all that should be needed. But there should definitely be education about it in some form.
Shit would go fucky if acid was legalized, imagine, everyone on acid...hahahahahah Imagine how fuct........lol...everyones crazy now lets juice them up 100%
You gotta love that old "gateway" bullshit about weed. Just ridiculous. I went to church before I smoked pot, therefore, going to church leads to doing drugs. sigh. Are you sure you're not Anslinger reincarnate? Well said... :2thumbsup: The thing I can't help notice in this thread, is the comments about "my freedom" outweigh comments on personal responsibility about 20-1. For me, I have a hard time insisting on my freedom without being prepared to excercise responsibility first. Showing my age again I suppose.
I totally agree with you. If you are an adult you should have the freedom to do what you please with your own mind, body, and soul as long as you are not interfering with others.
Not everyone NOT on acid does so without interfering with others. There's laws about that, and it can be addressed seperatly.
If you're willing to go through with an LSD experience in the first place, which can potentially shatter your entire view of yourself and the world around you, the risk matches the 'crime' and you should be willing to break the law in order to do it as well. It wouldn't be as classic if it was easy and safe and available to get. Mount Everest wouldn't be such an epic climb if it was easy to accomplish it. Random analogy but the point is is that risks are part of the journey.
The risks are in your mind, and can be prepared for and countered. I don't think that good requires bad, or that evil laws make good better.
