Jesse Ventura is living in Baha. He was interviewed on the Piers Morgan show on CNN last week. He says can you just imagine how many alphabet agencies would be after him if he ran for president? He'd blow the lid off they're whole thing. They would never let him be president.

Also, he plans to kill "Jesse Ventura" pretty soon. He himself plans to.

What Is Going To Happen Next.. ok it's got my attention. We had better all start praying hard and on our knees. WE had better get some loving vibes going strong right now.

Ppl say I'm paranoid. They do not live in tornado alley, they have not see what I have seen, what I have wittenessed time and time again since childhood.

241 Tornados swept yet again across our nation. North Carolina was devastated. We are still waiting word if our grandbabies are still Alive.

Cheryl is in NC also. I hope shes pops in to let us know that she and her family is alright.

This has got to be a sign that the Shit Is Hitting The Fan.. and we are helpless against it.

All this puts me in mind of my grandmother who lived a littls south and west of the alleyn, but still om the edge of it in Walnut Springs Tx as a child. One of my favorite tales was of her and the rest of the family surviving a Commanche raid by taking refuge in the root cellar. You do have one don't you Sis or do you have Lynn and the gang out there with shovels? We'll be keeping all ya'll along the ally in our prayers.

Hey Ranger. To this day I still keep quoting you to other folks, back when you said, "Never live anywhere where the weather can kill you."

I dont think there is any place safe. Between the Tornados, earthquakes, floods and fires ( Texas is on fire) there is no place to hide.

We dont have a root celler... we're in a bottom and if ya dig 3 feet down you hit water and the hole fills up.

Our house is over 100 yrs old and hasnt been blown off the map yet. We have a place to get that is pretty shelthered from a tornado, that is if there is one that comes too close. We are surrounded by lakes here and the tornados turn right when they get to water and they dont cross water so being in the center we are kinda safer then say the other side of the lakes.

Our grandbabies are safe. The Hell Storms missed them.

I hope we hear from Cheryl soon. I really dont know where she lives, there in NC.

    Lakes! That's the answer!

Pay someone to weld you a pair of big aluminum pontoons with a steel frame on top of it and get a ramp. Put it in the lake and push the old school bus on to is and buy and old outboard.
House Boat! Live in the middle of the lake. That's what the Aztec did. They even made barges, tied 'em off, and and grew food on those. You're Safe!

Do you have to pay property taxes if you live in the middle of a lake?

Or you could just move to where George W. Bush is going.

If that's the case, then I don't see why you're not taking bets. If I lived there I'd be rich from bar bets. LOL

They bet on Left, and I take right. Win! $$$

Always build your house on the left side of the lake and you'll always be okay. Cool.

:) we live in a dry county and there are no 'bars', so that's out. But it was a good idea.

I'm planting letuce today, maybe some Sugar Baby Watermelon too. I was gonna buy flowers to plant, like I do every yr. but I kept thinking " you cant eat flowers.. well some you can, but in esscents, nit.

I have decided that all my flower beds will house viggies this yr. Not that we are short on land to plant but the beds are made and are close to the house and I can water them. Cant water the gardens in the back 40, so the Heart garden with hold the letuce/greens and the Circle bed will get the melons.

We already have the Onions, Potatos, Corn and Turnip Greens planted. We'll be planting the Tomatoes and Peppers this week.

My Grapes are looking great and the ThornlessBlackberries are all that came back this yr, the others did not make it through the drought. We had some fairly strong winds that knocked off 2/3 of my Red Plums but the peaches look ok, cant tell if the old apple tree will suprize us and actually bare some fruit this yr. yet but we have a nice young apple that is showing future promise.

I've made a few jewlery pieces to add to my collection, I say collection bc nothing is selling at the moment so I call it my collection :)

The central states are suppose to get some more bad weather today, not as bad as last week but pretty bad.. maybe only 20 tornados or so, instead of the 97 that were confirmed last week.

Maybe we should build a mote around our place to turn the demons right. They usually start in Oklahoma and whip across the northeast just above our heads.

I am not gonna ask what could happen next bc the last time I asked that, Ranger provided some interesting Catastrophy information for me to freek on.. lol thanks Ranger;)

Jerusalem artichokes, scarlet runner beans \. and either snow or sugar peas all have beautiful flowera, but none of them beat passion fruit or flowers. Curious thought, why if you hit water at three feet can't you adapt a system they use in the desert areas here, sunken not raiser beds> Dig down to just a few inchhes above the water table and lay in a layer of compost etc and then plant starts that can then water themselves by puting roots down to the water.

The moat just might work, and would be great for catfish and mudbugs. I wonder why they don't turn right at the Red River and come out our way?

What can happen next? One of us could win mega-millions in the lottery and fly us.....errr....send limos to round us all up for a reunion party. :sunny:

Winning the lottery would be the coolest thing that could happen to us... HEY!!! I just got an Idea.. why dont we raise some 4 for playing the lotto. Ya know?? Like we could each send in 5$ a week and play the mega millions.. buy up as much tickets as we have $ and when we hit big money we do all what we need to do to take care of us.. all of us.

There seems to be 15 of us here that frequent GE in Hip. I would collect the $ and buy the tickets.. since I collected the $ for Ranger&Rita everyone knows I can be trusted.. not to say that anyone of us could not be trusted, I'm just offering cuz I know that a lot of us are not wanting to be bothered with the keeping up of it. I thrive on things like that.

The mega millions usually are over 100 million so it would satisfy all our needs, like forever and we can do some good for others with what's left. We could build one hellavah hippie resort with that kinda dough.

We could be totally off the grid. Solar, wind and water power, undergound shelthers for bad weather. Land, livestock, gardens a lake or two.. ohh yeah :) :) :)

Let's do it.. dang.. it's only a few bucks a week and look what we could do with it when we win.

If we can spare 5$ each that's 75$ a week and we could buy 75 tickets a week till we win.. That's a pretty good shot at the big $.. most ppl dont buy that many at a time. It Could Happen, so dont laugh at me.. well ok you can laugh, just dont point and laugh ;)

Any one up for that. I will start with my 5$ anyone else in??

That sounds like a great idea about the sunken beds Ranger. I dont see Lynn doing all that tho, he's so busy mowing all week and hardly has time to do the Honey Do's I have lined up for him.. The house need a new dress, The living room windows need replacing, the back patio need finishing out and the bathroom need a lot of work.. the tape and bed is falling off the walls and I need a new sink and vanity.

When we win the lottery we can hire someone to do the work while we're vacationing with GE at the new hippie resort, yes, yes, yes

Sounds good! We'll have to work out a few details first though. Such as how we handle smaller wins etc.

In the mean time check out this dude! I thought we knew some characters back in the day, but this guy........

I'll have labs there on the twelth and they'll put us up in a hotel for the night and operate the next morning. Depending on how it goes I may be kept over at the hospital one more night......

    scratcho,

Yeah, I saw that map that they showed on CNN. It showed every county in Texas. All RED except for 2 counties. The county that is just south of Corpus Christi, and the county that is just EAST of Dallas.

Hey, Cakes! Ain't that your county?????????
    Hoping

Just to let everyone know, we are not in the range of fires ,Yet< I dont think they will reach us up here in the northeast corner.. We are located 150 miles north of Shrevport, 4 hours from Arkansas and 3 hrs from Oklahoma.

The fires are in south and central texas. We are in the northeast, Wood County, we are not in the line of fire unless the wind changes. It's been blowing up to 30 mils an hr, so the fires are uncontrobable untill the devil wind dies.

My Hubby will never leave the farm, I will never leave hubby, so here we stand come hell or high water to the end. I think I would rather be taken out by a tornado then, say something like cancer or some other devestating disease. I wouldnt be fond of burning tho.. that would hurt. Lynn will not let any harm befall us.

I would love to get a barge, we almost bought one a few weeks ago but decided we'd better hold on to the cash bc by the looks of things anything can happen and probablly will and we may need it for something else.
