yup.... it was the film that made me realise i found men in stockings quite a turn on... just wanted to twang the elastic, smack his bum and have him chase me... :drool5:
LOL, i saw this movie once, At the theatre by UD they have a showing every saturday at midnight. A bunch of film/art students put on this whole show while the movie is playing. If you have never seen the movie and admit to it they paint a V(virgin) on your forehead and fuck with you the whole time. Before the movie starts all the "virgins" are asked, and sometimes forced, to get up in front of everyone and do ridiculous shit, like fake an orgasm etc. Its funny but a little to over the top for my taste. Anyone else have something similar? I kinda got the feeling this is how to watch the movie in a theater.
the corniness of it is a tad over the top. But its the case with transgendered, science fiction, music .. tangled into one/ I dont think it could of been done any better...
I was talking more along the lines of what happens at the theater rather than the movie. It gets quite annoying, especially when you have people designated to act out each character in every seen, its like watch a play and a movie at the same time... But i agree, i don't think they could of done a better job with the movie.
Ive performed in stage presentations of RHPS. I know what you mean, though by doing so its a much easier production and can be pulled off by more people that only need to learn a part (part time)..they can hear it in the background and sync with it .. How else could I explain it. lol.. like large rock concerts what we see from the audience pov isnt really whats going on. The performers have monitors in their ears, they have some prerecorded studio version Ques pumped in. Its almost impossible to coordinate all that on the spot. Since RHPS has a cult following around the Halloween season, its been <karaoke> styled for more people to participate.. When I was 25yrs old, there was a RHPS scene here for a little while, but it never really grew bigger and some Halloween seasons it wasnt put on at all.. Many small theaters lost money./ went out of business, other Halls and studios, playhouses may not draw any crowds at all if they know nothing about it. Here in my district culture center. They put on this big show of a grand opening commnuity theather Arts and entertainment. All it developed to was pissed off people like myself that cant use the center because of money bureaucratic bullshit/./ Some kid has to pay $50.00 a course for a volunteer to teach arts. Fuck this shit!@ Mckees Rocks Arts center.
I just saw the film for the first time recently: loved the energy in it. Very original. I had to watch it because fellow theater students were doing "the time warp" and I hadn't the slightest idea as to what that was...
RHPS is an amazing drinking movie, whenever i have one of my mates over we get drunk and when we are watching it we take a shot of tequila before every song
A great, fun movie that at its heart, had a message that even Mr. Rogers would approve of: It's okay to be yourself.
I went to a performance of the play and a theatrical showing at a cinema a few Halloweens ago. The audience participation at those things is really a unique experience. Would really love to attend again.
