...well just watch it kinda of recently..even though it has been out for quite a while. (Found it and bought it from the local library for d bargain price of £2!!!WOOOW!) Just thrilling movie,as well as the musics in there "AIR"(if ain't wrong?!) ..not the cheerful movie of all times, but is that what makes worth it watching it. SOOO REAL!
Sophia Coppola is an amazing director... I like this movie even better than Lost in Translation. It's amazing that so few people have taken an interest in it, like I could ask 10 of my friends about the movie and maybe 1 would know what I was talking about. The music totally plays up the eerieness of the move.. really really great.
I agree about the music, "Air" is fantastic!!! And this film is really great, the storry could be called - shocking, but I must say that I did not get THAT feeling after watching it.
i thought this was Sophias worst work personally, it wasnt her fault, i read the book and didnt like it either... it just isnt a good story, i thought the movie had nothing to say...
It's about four young sisters exploring their blossoming sexuality while coming of age under a repressively religious mother and a withdrawn, good intentioned, but head-in-the-sand father. In this country its not an uncommon dynamic. I'm sure millions of young girls find themselves in similar circumstances. It's a frustrating movie for guys, because your instict is to reach out to these girls and protect and possess them. But the girls are hopelessly trapped in that irrational family dynamic.
Hmm that sounds kind of cool... maybe once exams are overwith I'll rent it and see. Thanks for the headsup
good movie. i watched it for the first time when i was....12?...but yeah it is one of my favorites....i guess it gave me a little glimpse of reality.
i do share ur point of view about LOST IN TRANSALATION BUTWhat i did like about it,i'ts the fact that it does show (not forgetting, also, the slow way they talk and so on,,) the boredom it it's highest glance(?!) makes u feel so fucking bored ,does strokes on you the best panick attacks ever felt while you watching it! PLUS you either can't stop or want to continue watching this endless movie! ..creeply obsessive and damagely infinite. Don't you think?
i am one of the few that enjoyed it, the raw feeling of intense depression of being limited to their own house without able to really live, good stuff.. although the book is so much better
