Who else loves them? their album "permission to land" is the best album to come outta the last couple of years. i highly recomend it. justin hawkins is so damn sexy why dont more men wear tight lycra and leather clothes!
my brother dave went off about this band too........ he saw them live, and he was totally into the whole show.... I just cant get into gimmick bands like that haha
Yawn, bland rock returns with avengance! The darkness are dull, overrated and, most importantly for a novelty band, not funny!
I LOVE them! The best song is Cristmas time (don't let the bells end). I saw them live in Stockholm, Sweden. WOW! Herrejesus allan!
i hate them, they are the worst most lame band to come around since guns n roses. and what happens? PEOPLE WORSHIP THEM!! they aren't nothing special, just a singer with no balls and likes to wear crap clothes.
Nope they are not 'hardcore' or 'underground' or any other 'cool' label that gets thrown at 'hip' pompous american bands.. they are good musicians taking the piss (or are they)... take them seriously or as a joke.. i doubt they care. I don't actualy personaly like them to be honest , not my kind of music.. and the band do need a good kicking to bring them down a peg or two hahahaha.. But i watched and heard them on a Band Aid 20 documentary last night, and they were humble funny and giving , so i can't realy bad mouth them too much. They hide behind the stage persona most of the time , wich i don't like.
I like them.. the best thing on American radio, even though only one of their songs made it on here. *shrugs* Not that I listen to the radio anyways, but even my most metal elitist of friends who listens to NOTHING that doesn't come out of Scandanavia or Germany loves the Darkness because he says it harkens back to power metal. So whateva whateva.
They are neat and fun and stuff. I don't think that they take themselves all that seriously though, they have a song called "get your hands off of my woman motherfuckers" for cryin' out loud. Another um. . . interesting British band is "The Streets"
