Where did you go barefoot today?

It was about 67F today, so I went on my first fully barefoot neighborhood walk of 2011 today! I likely walked over a mile. Probably too much for the first time out, but I don't feel any soreness... yet.

I got a cute comment from an old lady. She said, "It isn't summer yet, you with the bare feet." I said, "Feels like it. Good enough for me!"

 

This wonderful park I've only been twice now. I need to back.

 

Walk #2 on the year. It was 57F instead of 67F this time, but it was just as enjoyable!

I also had a conversation about going barefoot with a couple classmates in my English class. We were in a group of 3 analyzing poetry and noticed that in the poem we were reading, "Five A.M." by William Stafford, he mentions that his feet pad and grit on the pavement. One group member mentioned that he might be barefoot judging by the diction, and the other and I agreed. The one who pointed out thought it was bizarre that someone would enjoy a barefoot walk around the neighborhood, but the other group member and I told him that it's amazing, and shared our stories and testimonies of how comfortable it is.

 

News stand, wine shop, Dunkin Donuts, gas station (prices were worse than being barefoot by a mile) and a friend's house.

 

So far I've gone hiking at a state park. It was my first time hiking in the woods barefoot and I had a lot of fun. Of course the day is still young so there's more to come.

Went away camping for the weekend and spent the whole time barefoot felt great

 

Just got home from walking barefoot (for the first time) into town and back again - about 4 miles in total. I had quite a few strange looks from people, and one or two smiles. The soles of my feet are a little sore from the gravel paths through the park.
So that's no underwear and no shoes/socks. Hmm, maybe the next time I'll go out completely nude!

 

Fed the goats at the reserve.
One of them took a good sniff at my toes.

Ive been to a few supermarkets this week including morrisons and the co-op, several staff noticed but didnt say anything and were very nice to me at the checkouts. Im glad I got over my fear of going into supermarkets bf! despite the hot weather I havent seen anyone else bf.

 

Walked about a wallgreens and a library... lots of conservatively dressed people = lots of dirty looks.. esp from my younger sister. but OH WELL! I love having no shoes!

 

Went to the bank to make a payment on my truck.

 

All around town on a fucking bad trip ending in being detained in a prison cell under the mental health act - not fun!

My feet are now sore as fuck

 

Hampstead Heath, I was barefoot for most of the time.
Sadly it started to rain a bit on my way there, and there was a lot more gravel, tarmac and rocky bits than I expected, but on the whole it was very nice.
A funfare and lots of crowds in the south end were a bit much though :\.
I put my shoes back on near the end of the day as the west side is a bit "dodgy", I don't fancy accidentally stepping on a used condom or something that might be hazardous.
After that it was all roads, and a bit of night-walking on the main part of the Heath. Didn't barefoot much, my feet were slightly sore by then and I'd gotten fed up of gravel...

I went to a park with some friends to ride bikes and play in a river. Then we went to my girlfriends college and walked around the campus and then went to her favorite smoothie shop. All the while barefoot and happy.
