I've heard lots of people who combine opiates and Somas, Whats their deal? Someone gave me about 30 of em, just wondered how they go with 30mg roxies.....These are 350mg....
They are a prodrug for a drug (of which the name escapes me) that is a GABA(A) receptor agonist, very similar to the popular drug Quaalude. It is essentially a "backdoor" way to getting high off of a powerful sedative without the legal shit (SOMA is not federally scheduled). I have never taken it, as I don't like sedatives like benzos particularly much. But, anecdotally, the GABA(A) drugs like Quaalude are of a different "charm" than benzos. However, it is dangerous, as I am sure you know, to mix depressants with opioids. I think they combine 350mg with 60mg of Codeine in a combo-drug, but Oxycodone (as you mention) is a whole 'nother league from codeine, so be careful.
I do know that if you take too much you could die. Not trying to be too negative, but I know 2 people that have died from mixing these two.
You are not being negative. Your post simply provides more evidence to the OP (who I know is an experienced safe drug user) that the combination is best done cautiously. I don't dissuade the OP from trying it however! I would like to hear the results in fact, should he/she do it.
i take somas rx'd 4 a day.....now they did start me at 3 a day, and i moved up to 4. I do usually take more than 4, i havent really noticed a withdrawl from them when i run out, only the oxycodone, and oxymorphone handle that shitty part. I do know that they will fuck you up, i have passed out standing up on them, like a super nod.....i know they will fuck with your sleep, lol when i get my rx filled i will fall out anywhere, at my desk, the counter smoking, the toilet...these i feel are a real double edged sword, they work good for your back but if u get in to heavy you may pass out and fuck your back up, now these are the effects they have on me.....and you may experience different.....i do not know of anyone who has died from these, and my dr know im on 4x a day with a 135mg oxy and 40 mg opana habit.....AT LEAST, so i dont know if these people where noobs or not......good luck and enjoy!!
Just be careful, my friend took three handles and thirteen somas and had to go to the hospital because he ODed. He was slinging all kinds of pills at the time too so he wasn't some scrub. Somas can be very powerful at high doses, especially when mixed with something.
Some of my doctors are talking about how they are trying to move the fda to schedule this drug as a control. I have my pcp who has no problem rxing somas for my back spasms, but when I mentioned this to my pain doc, he was quick to say stop taking them and he put me on parafon forte. I have tried many muscle relaxers, zanaflex, flexeril, etc, but have found that for me, soma works great with my spasms in my lower back. I am also on kadian and hydrocodone for pain. I feel somas effects much stronger than the pain meds, but that's just me.
Well from all the research that i've done, I've been able to come up with the fact that some are perscribed these as a potentiator for mid level and below opiates, say roxy down to Hydro. It is my plan to take 30% less opiate than i normally dose and one of these. I will let yall know what I find. As was mentioned, I do alot of research prior to ingesting anything for the first time. I do like the positive feedbacks i've read concerning how Somas help with pain, which is why I take what I take to begin with.
Soma is a skeletal muscle relaxant its similar to Meprobamate. It potentiates the effects of your CYP2D6 Cytochrome in your liver (Which metabolizes Opiates) thus; potentiating the opiate. So, mixing One Soma with a roxi is good. But the somas will put you to sleep if you take too much. So, take one soma and more Oxy. Its nice. Has nothing to do with GABA receptors though, thats like Benzodiazepines and (Z drugs) I don't know what that guy was babbling about.
Well I ended up taking one soma and 3/4 roxy (my tolerance is lower than it used to be) and I was nodding out quite well, too much in fact, lol. So, ill lower it to half a roxy and one soma, see how that does me.
