If you don’t want it to get even harder for a U.S. citizen to get a passport — now required for travel even to Canada or Mexico — you only have until Monday to let the State Department know.

The U.S. Department of State is proposing a new Biographical Questionnaire for American passport applicants: The proposed new Form DS-5513 asks for all addresses since birth; lifetime employment history including employers’ and supervisors names, addresses, and telephone numbers; personal details of all siblings; mother’s address one year prior to your birth; any “religious ceremony” around the time of birth; and a variety of other information. According to the proposed form, “failure to provide the information requested may result in … the denial of your U.S. passport application.”

It’s not the obama america it’s the direct result of the bush incompetency which allowed terrorists to attack america, destroy the WTC, and permanently change our way of life [IMG]

If it changed once, it may change again. Choose again.

They can kiss my honky ass. If I want to go to Canada, I'll put my moose suit on and cross in the woods. Seriously--can this possibly be true? Wonder who in the hell came up the this shit.

The border between the U.S. and Canada is as porous as a sponge [IMG]

Be careful with that moose suit because at least up here there are a lot of hunters looking to take down a bull [IMG]

Why do they need all this information? Sounds really complicated, some of it isn't even applicant's information (siblings and mother info) and I don't see how employment history and religion can be relevant.
To me it looks like the State Department doesn't want you to travel.

There are check road points in the states now also created by national security. Don't expect to go very far in the country without showing your papers or you can be detained and perhaps sent to hard prsion for 5 years. Many Europeans don't know this, also there is a bill proposal coming soon to make that sentence jump to 15.

Every law or bill passed by States Department the current president has to decide to sign to make it binding

Also incorrect info, it wouldn't need presidential signature. It's under the guise of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.

And if was agreed upon by the state department, it would only apply.

All you need so submit is a birth certificate and a state ID to get a passport.

If those are suspected to be fraudulent, the DS-5513 would be implemented. In other words, it's an attempt to prevent illegal immigrants from attaining passports.

It hasn't passed yet, wouldn't require the presidents signature, and wouldn't apply to the majority of applicants.

Keep in mind, I don't agree with this proposed change. I'm just saying it's being framed in a very frightening light, which is likely inaccurate.

I wouldn't believe anything this guy is saying, I tracked his IP, it's on a government server. The States department has web crawlers that do this all the time, search out post that don't go with there agenda and discredited them. Don't believe anything this man has to say.

U.S. Department of Justice Seizes Major Online Poker Sites

In what has been a lively afternoon in the online poker world, the Federal Government has seized the domain names belonging to PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, UB.com, and Absolute Poker. Poker News Daily has learned that PokerStars, the world’s largest site, has ceased taking action from the United States.

Really Obama going after Poker players ? Come on! I guess because gambling goes against the Islam agenda!

The US government is such a bunch of A-holes! Here they fight over funding a women’s right of choice. They have no problem fighting about cutting education funding and taking care of the poor and elderly. They get all up in arms over providing health care to those who can’t afford it and in the end get nothing done about double digit unemployment or loss of homes and trillions in debt oh except give trillions to billionaires.

Now with an industry that 30 million Americans enjoy and use, and industry that could actually create jobs, taxes and income to help pay for education and health care of course they are able to get in my bedroom and stop it!

So glad they want to not only protect my rights but tell me what rights I want or have…NOT! We are really messed up when we CAN go after my bedroom but CAN NOT take care of kids, poor and elderly because of our “MORALS”. gezzzz

What about the TRILLIONS walls street has stolen? What about the rampant corruptions in our government. I see FBI you don’t seem to ever get the time to take that on but again the middle class nobody is the one that takes his rights and personal life on the chin because some corrupt official wants to play up to in his/her political ditch wackos agenda for more campaign funding. Hey FBI are you law enforcement or lackeys of these wackos?

Not sure this one qualifies as public servants or law enforcement!
So rape, murder, molesters and so many other horrible crimes are not as important and if your a billionaire or in politics you are above the law…I C FBI.

What's my IP address? If you actually tracked it I will give you a cookie.

And by cookie I mean secret CIA lobotomy. I'm free as a government agent to say things like this because everyone assumes I'm joking. :sunny:

Over here we need a passport to leave the UK at all. In order to get a passport I had to fill in one of those forms. I thought it was just standard.

Wasn't showing ID ond/or birth certificate enough to get a passport? You also shouldn't need a passport to travel in between EU countries. Valid ID is enough.

I've always been told I needed a passport even for the EU. And no, the forms came with all kinds of questions about previous addresses and relationships etc when I filled them out in 2006

I've heard that UK has some different procedures than the rest of Europe, but that's a lot more complicated than what the rest of us go through...

It's absurd that while I can fly to or from London and the rest of EU with an ID card, you need passport. Is getting an ID in UK easier than getting a passport?
