Yeah, man. Great GD video with some pretty doleful and funny commentary. "There is a real danger that more young people will answer the call to 'turn on, tune in, drop out'" - excellent advice.
fuck the narrator of that dead post, mainly because he describes the Dead as, "style w/o content" they were a New band at this point, jerry is just a baby! If only he gave the Dead some time because there is some DAMN good content cool to see pics, but id like the music as the only sound, not that lame ass' comentary, sorry lol
I just re-found it. I think it was on 60 Minutes as that is Harry Resoner is the narrator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zHmi9y-KLo"]YouTube - 1967 Hippie temptation TV documentary Stay Brown, Rev J
Probably not 60 minutes, because that show didn't start until '68. Either that, or they got the date wrong on the video. Great stuff though. It's funny how, even after the GD told the interviewer that the movement wasn't about drugs, but that drugs was merely an aspect of the culture, Reasoner still went back to that angle and how the movement wouldn't be successful because it was based on drugs. It's as Harry Nilsson said in The Point, "You see what you want to see and you hear what you want to hear."
