Rose's Heart

my friend wanted me to draw a human heart for her.... after i finished it on paper i thought it'd be fun to make some digital art with it. this is what came out

specs: Fine point sharpie on acid-free paper / Photoshop CS5 manipulation.

thanks i really wasnt into the whole drawing a human heart thing at all, actually. she's been bugging me to do it for YEARS and ive been putting it off. when i finally sat down to do it, i finished it in 2 days (a couple hours total). i actually like how it turned out..in the beginning i wasn't so into it.

 

like it very much, particularly the texture aspect of it.

Gorgeous! The texture is my favorite aspect as well. Very dark.

 

Wow. That's beautiful. So often artists rely on dark imagery to stand for itself; you really brought beauty to it, making it that much more dynamic.
