We have a very small yard,so we are looking at suare foot gardening but can't get a grasp on the harvest, from sites that we visit.

Does anyone produce enough from a small square foot garden to can their harvest? It sounds great but we would like to can veggies also.

I would plant something that yields a lot. Also, i would think anything that vines you could trellis upwards to save space. Squash sprawl a little but produce a lot. Cucumbers trellis up as does some peas. You can plant potatoes in 5 gallon buckets which do not take up a lot of space. Tomatoes produce a lot.

There are many benefits of square foot gardening. Less work, soil remains lose and loamy, no need of using expensive hydroponic equipments, Saving water and no need of pesticides or herbicides. With square foot gardening, you can grow your won small and flourished garden without worrying about a lack of space.
