I have a few plants. They are small, but soon they will produce flowers. How many flowers on average for one plant? Also can I use a bunch of flowers to make a tea. I think they have magic properties. So like intend of using 300 seeds, I'll use 600 flowers to make up for it.
Tell me what you think. Thanks!

Hey. Thanks for answering my questions on thes topic. How about the rest of the plant? Like flowers, roots, an leaves? That may work. I planted some plants like a week ago, so how mature will they be by June 7th? I am a bunny.

I had a few morning glory plants that I had grown awhile back. I do not remember the flower output for each plant, but all the flowers do not bloom at once. So one day- you may only have a few flowers bloom and those quickly die, to be be replaced by a few more. So if you're going to gather flowers-you will not be able to get them at once and by the time you have a "good amount", those previous flowers you picked would've gone bad. Unless you're growing a whole lot.

But this is just what I recall.

You're better off using the seeds. The brain tripping chemicals you're looking for are most concentrated in the seeds, which will be ready when your plants "die back" and the seed pods have dried on the plant on their own. Then they are ready for picking.

I have heard of the flowers being used for a very mildly psychedelic, mildly alcoholic 'wine' (you can find this one the internet). I had started to do this, but forgot about this pet project, so I can't give you any feedback on it.

I haven't heard anything being done with roots, or leaves. Like I said, best bet would be the seeds. (Speaking of seeds, the results of my last harvest are floating around somewhere..would like to find them soon) :)

Hope this helped. If you have any questions, I'll try my best!

By the way- the more flowers you pick- the less precious seeds you'll have at the end of your plant's season

Thanks, man. Well, I'm gunna collect flowers over the coarse of 2 weeks. I heard they fall off everyday, so by two weeks maybe I'll have enough. I can put them in the fridge, and they should stay good. Based on pics I saw, they have alot of leaves too, which I think is very Likely to have some magic properties. Over the coarse of two weeks, hopefully I'll have enough flowers and leaves to make a good tea. I think it could work. I have like 15 plants. One more question: how long does it take for the plant to mature on average?
    Thanks

I don't really remember, but I think it took mine about 8 weeks since I planted them from seeds.

It also probably depends on the variety and the location.

    What varieties do you have?

Also, a good thing to keep in mind is that depending on the type, they can grow very tall. So make sure that the flowers/seeds will be accessible.

I had mine growing outside of the garden where they had a chickenwire fence to vine on (make sure they have something to vine on or else they will wrap their green tentacles on whatever they get ahold of!). But anyway, they had grown out of control and not only grew up along the fence, but climbed up one of my super tall sunflowers. I had get a small ladder to harvest the seeds!

So make sure that they are within reach, even if this means gently "manipulating" how they vine.

    Happy harvesting!
