Just heading that way for a visit, which might become extended, possibly even long term and sort of curious as to whats going on in the Job market, social scene and so forth?
I've lived here in the valley since 1975. I don't know what you do but we've got a bit of everything here. MtV is the biggest town in the county so there are opportunities here. As far as a social scene you might enjoy this. On Saturday May14,2011 from 10AM till 6PM. FUNDRAISER FOR SEDRO WOOLLEY WA FOOD BANK. Free music from local bands. A can of food to get in or a cash donation is welcome also. Be sure and bring a chair. If I go I would bring several cans, maybe some crackers too. This Event will take place at the Riverfront Park on the Skagit River. Directions: Sedro Woolley is around 63 miles north of Seattle WA. Go north out of Seattle on I-5. Take exit 232/Cook Road and go east on Cook Road. Stay on this road till it ends in Sedro. Turn left onto State Route 20. Follow HW20 east less than a mile. The next major intersection meets HW9. Turn right at the light and onto Township Street. Follow Township south out of town. Riverfront Park will be on the left 2 or 3 miles. :2thumbsup:Ya can't miss it. It's right on the Skagit River. Just a CAUTION here. This is NOT a hempfest. Just a small town looking to fill their larder to help feed the community. No alcohol is allowed as this is a town park. If you must blaze be discreet. Woolley cops are pretty decent but they are cops so just be careful. I think 6 hours of live music for the price of a can of food or 3 is an excellent investment. Tell your friends.:sunny:
