my best friend just got dumped by his girlfriend, he really loved her and she left him because 'she wanted to live the single life for a while'. this sort of thing happened to him with his last girlfriend and now he just feels like shit. the worst thing is that she still phones him and carries on like nothing has happened, he was ok for a while but now its starting to hit him and i dont know what to say to him. it kills me to see my bestest buddy like this because he's usually so lively and upbeat, any suggestions?
the guy needs time to settle himself emotionally. Dont do things like tell him shes not worth it.. just be there as an ear for him. Take him out and do funthings that dont envolve being with a partner... so not to clubs or bars but like .... bowling.... take him to the pier and go on the tramampolines Just have fun and remind him that life can be fun. Dont Take him to get drunk because that creates a link in his mind feel better = drunk and vise versa. I wouldnt recomend you sujjest he doesnt see her anymore just talk to him about how he is feeling in a relaxed kind of way.. diguss with him his feelings for her and what he would like to happen in the future. This might not be of much interest to you (or it might be) but talking about it will help straigten his thought. Chances are at the moment he has hundreds of unspoken thoughts all fighting with each other in his mind. Make sure he knows how much he means to you and what a cool guy he is. Much love Fleassy xox
yeh ive been listening to him talking about how he feels, i guess time is all it needs. ive also been careful not to bitch about her (well, only a little bit ), but im liking the trampolines idea, i havent been on those for years. its his 18th on saturday, could be a cunning idea for birthday frolics!!
they were my primary source of entertainment when i was at school, that and the ranger, that thing that spins round and round and upside down and everywhere, that thing is SO good. ah man i forgot how much i loved the pier, i havent even set foot upon it for years, thats what marijuana'll do to ya kids
