So i had 50mg of purple DPT sitting around inside 2-3 baggies put away in a cool place. Hadn't looked at it in 2 months but 2 days ago looked and it's gone this dirty brown colour, smells a bit nasty as well. Some 4-AcO turned brown that i have and i'm aware LSD turns amber coloured as well so is this just what happens when Tryptamines weaken?
People have talked about it here before. Some trypts are not very stable at room temp for longer periods of time especially if they have any chance of exposure to light, air, and moisture. I can't get too technical about it (oxidation?) but I don't recall anyone reporting loss of potency. I store chems in individual baggies, inside a static pouch with silica gel taped shut, inside a larger ziplock with more silica gel, inside an air-tight mason jar with yet another silica gel and throw it all in the freezer. It might be overkill but I have chems over a year old stored in there and have never had an issue with changing colors or loss of potency so far.
I have had tryptamines and phens change color/texture and have never noticed a loss of potency. It should be fine, try and store it better though, I've had DPT for 2-3 years that has not changed in color, remember to keep it away from air, light, and warmth
