Think about it. Meditation is focusing on only one object for a long time. Masturbation is practally the same thing! It's the perfect form of meditation.
Funny. But meditation is not focusing on one object. Meditation is investigation into the functioning of the mind. The focusing part is simply a technique that, when done properly allows one to see the mind in action. Masturbation may be focusing but it is not the functioning of the mind that is under investigation.
It's a similar technique to focusing on the breath, or a flower. Honestly i'm interested, masturbation seems to have a calming effect on the mind, it may be meditative.

I would not call masturbation meditation at all. While your observation that your focus is there for masturbation, you also have fantasy running through your head, or maybe extreme sense pleasure and indulgence. It's not the same thing. That said though, try using it in a mindful way and see where you go. Maybe you're on to something, who knows...? To each his/her own.
My mind has no focus while masturbating -- billions of different fantasies of sensations flashing through my head. But I always thought of meditation as losing your normal focus anyways
"Meditation refers to any of a family of practices in which the practitioner trains his or her mind or self-induces a mode of consciousness in order to realize some benefit." wiki I think life is meditation and that each part of life is a meditation in itself. Some activities produce more benefit, like using your brain to do more than eat and drink and reproduce. But meditation and fantasies are really great tools for creative energies! After fantasizing for a few hours I feel like I fulfilled my creative energies for some of the day. It helps creative visualization!! It also helps you experience your second chakras energies which can be very strong at times. Second chakra helped me feel out the rest of my chakras. Then again I think theres nothing better than raising your sexual energy for a few days before releasing it, just to show you how powerful it can be, your sexual energy drives you throughout life more than any other chakra I think!
This is a very interesting topic. I'm a believer when it comes to the potential of sexual energy. I think something like the "out-of-body" orgasm experienced by some may even be a form of meditation with the high level of emotional/spiritual exploration it involves. So, technically this could be done during masturbation, too. In other words, one could make one's masturbation session into a meditation session by focusing not only on the physical pleasure on the surface but also on the emotional and spiritual energies that the sexual feelings maay trigger. From there, one may start one's journey inward, deep within the realm of psychic sex.
I don't think masturbation in itself is meditation, but IMO masturbation can be meditative. I know that my sex life has gotten better since I started meditating, and the reason for that is mindfulness. Mindfullness as in being in the present moment, and being aware of everything that is going on at the moment (as cheesy as that may sound). Instead of going off in a million different places in your head, playing the highlight reel or whatever it is we tend to think of if we let our mind wander during sex/masturbation, we can focus on what's going on right now, focusing on how everything feels down to the last detail. Learning to focus on orgasm, trying to hold it, feeling it build up, can be an experience experience - but you need to be in the present moment! Which is somewhat of a meditative state.
Unless you are exercising a tantric practice, masturbation is more like being led than focusing on something. More an act of hormonal reverie. Tantric practice raises sexual energy so that sexual energy may be sublimated to other causes besides sex.
Depends first of all what meditation really accomplishes. If it has effects on the brain/body then maybe these two things might overlap. I have read that Transcendental Meditators (TM) develop complexes with regard to serotonin, of which particulars I forget. Masturbation may have effects upon serotonin as well. Do you see where I am going with this? On the other hand, you cannot take the power of masturbation into activity with you, in the sense that you have not added anything, or subtracted anything from your mental state, but you were just engaged in more discursive activity. Aslo, during masturbation you have raised instead of lowered your metabolism, so actually these two activities are really pretty different. That is, if you consider meditation to pertain in some way to a more subtle state of respiration. No, I adjure that what you were trying to make was a joke, because masturbation is a concentrated activity while more often than not meditation is a free form and serene mental engagement with subtle physical distinction. I have given you my two cents because I am here today, after a hiatus from this forum of a few years, for entertainment, not because I find your comment actually worthy of note.
