my room, is always trashed , my homie tries telling me thats my only problem is i dont really give a fuck, says i smell a lot, dont worry about whats around me and just do shit at my house all the time, always on the computer, he says im like the chillest person ever and i just need to learn this one thing in life, which i just never seem to understand, and why people just never seem to understand or get me, is because of all this. He just wants me to go out wit him and bang random bitches lol, im just like i dont really care about all that, i just hope to find someone i can have fun and good times through life, idk we had an interesting talk and he just wants to really help me as a friend but its hard for me to really get into that mindset hes in and all that. He was like if I could just have what I have in "my mind" and just plant it in urs, then id be like "wow" what am i doing i need to get ON my shit, but idk i just tell him that everybody has different agendas in life and all that, but somehow i just am not as good because im still the scrotie wolf of the pack that is not clean. Even tho i do take showers every day and all that, its more deeper than that somehow just mostly about how my room is all messy always lol, and thats what holds me back. I just have a hard time seeing and understanding all this, and need to think harder idk. thoughts?
Clean for an hour a day if you aren't going to do more. That way every week there has been 7 hours of cleaning done. If you isolate your dirty socks in their own hamper and keep hitting it with a light mist of Lysol or Axe as you fill it up that would probably keep your room from stinking.
Of course you have a hard time seeing and understanding this! You live in a pig sty by your own admission and don't want to do anything about it. Wallowing in your own mess is not cool my son. Get on it!
Keeping a clean room keeps you centered. I've found that if your immediate surroundings are unorganized, your thoughts will be unorganized as well. Maintaining a clean room or house is really easy once you do the initial clean-up. You just have to clean as you go. Put your clothes away when you take them off instead of throwing them on the floor. And throw trash in a trash can. Vacuum or sweep and dust once a week. Its pretty much that easy.
I'd usually agree with this, but I have at least one thing to add. You need to make sure during the initial clean up that you make a place for everything. If one thing doesn't have a place to go, you'll be back to a mess in no time. Also; I find it really hard to keep my room clean cause it's such a small room.
spread a tarp over it. that room is now dead to you. claim your roommates room as your newly discovered land and make him your slave.
you cannot be clean when you spend so much time in such a dirty environment. You might as well not be showering everyday because in a very literal sense you are what surrounds you. Start cleaning!
i spend hours cleaning my house with a https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1tTN-b5KHg&feature=related"]YouTube - Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer (1986)
This ^ is so true. Also, If you ever want to bring a chick home them you might want to think about cleaning it. Girls don't like messy, stinky houses, at least I don't.
like others said, it's easier to maintain cleanliness than to make a mess and clean it up. or, you could always start hiding dirty, stinky items in your friends' houses so they slowly become accustomed to it.
There's this super fucked up drunk dude I know that gets his house cleaned by this . Every time I see him I think "how in thee fuck...?"
Thank You FreshDacre, *gives FD a big hug..:grouphug:..No HOMO *... I Have Been Getting Way Behind With My Housework, And After Reading This Thread, I Hit The House Big Time For Three Hours Today...:2thumbsup:. Rubbish Went Out The Door, Plates And Cutlery Went In The Dishwasher, Vaccumed The House, Then Vaccumed It Again, Scrubbed And Bleached The Loo, Cleaned Out All The Kitty Litters, Removed All The Cobwebs, Then An Hour Or So Later When The Dust Had Settled, I Dusted. You Are Indeed An Inspiration To Us Lazy Single Guys And I Salute You.... Cheers Glen.
I spent a short time every morning doing a quick clean up and once a week mop all the floors and shit. Never have a big mess to clean up! So OP throw everything out, start again and keep it fucking tidy!!!
You Have S**t All Over Your Floors.... That's Just Gross.............:ack2:..............uke: Cheers Glen.
