So I've done basically everything but acid, and I just want to be informed on how much to take, what to do on it, where to do t, and basically give me a rundown on how the come up feels, and also what he peak is like.
No. Even wikipedia could help you, and point you further in the right direction. Stop being lazy, you need to really research this before doing it.
Acid can vary a great deal between doses, more so than I find with say ecstasy pills (if they are legit) and it works in such small quantities it's all but impossible to properly measure. That being said, if I were to give you sort of general tips I'd say take 2 hits for a more recreational and 'fun' trip and 3-5 hits for a more in-depth and introspective experience. Walks out in nature are always enjoyable, camping, if you do a lower dose maybe even a concert if you have someone to watch over you. I have spent trips practically completely indoors as well and enjoyed myself so it works in many enviornemnts. I find the comeup to have a slight buzzing energy where I feel more aware, and sort of gripped with anticipation. It's got a very unique peak but it's definitely has some similarities to other hallucinogens, I find it more mentally captivating than the 2cx drugs and more flashy and vibrant than shrooms. It's a very well balanced trip.
hi, so i think the best thing you can do before your trip to almost guarantee that you'll have a good time is to make sure you truly want to try the drug. It seems like you do, but I usually tell my friends who haven't tried it that if they're not at least 90% sure they want to do it (and will be with someone who has experience with it), then it's not worth it. I only say this because a potentially spiritual and magical experience could completely be thwarted by negative thoughts. In terms of the amount to take, i definitely agree with guerilla. Although my first time I took 1.5 hits and had a great time, so don't count out half hits if you think the number seems more "right" to you. Another thing that is almost indispensable is to have a PLAN. Acid is a drug that, for most users, creates a high-surge of energy, and even a proactive mindset. It can sometimes be bothersome and even anxiety-inducing to be uncertain of what to do, especially if you feel a bit apprehensive anxious on the come up (i'll come to this in a sec). All this is not to say that you have to plan things down to the second. Now that I've done cid lots, I feel it is actually more fun to take it without a plan, but for the first few times, have a general idea if what yo and your friend(s) want to do. Where to do it: Starting in your house is the best idea if you are fairly certain you won't have to come in contact with someone who doesn't know you're tripping. It is best to minimize outside interaction during the "come up" because I have a few friends who consistently find the come up a bit uncomfortable. For them, this is the "worst" part of acid, but from what I gather from their descriptions, it's about 30-40 minutes of this discomfort followed by about 10-12 hours of gooooood times. I personally think the come up is exciting. Something I always tell myself (or at least something I know I can tell myself) that is actually extremely useful, although it may sound obvious, is that everything that happens is supposed to happen, and is a direct effect of the drug on my body. Now obviously we all intuitively know this, but if you ever feel any discomfort, instead of mildly freaking out and thinking about an impending doom, just step back and get a 3rd person view of things and think to yourself "it is pretty cool/interesting that this drug is doing this." It is probably worth mentioning that the freaking out can come from two sources: the mental and the physical. The mental facet is obvious, and, in my opinion, can only occur artificially (i.e. you must convince yourself you're not having a good time). The physical aspect is something I didn't expect when taking acid, but is one of the best parts about it, surprisingly. I always get a body high when I take acid, but sometimes it is just out of this world, and can even overpower the visuals (which is honestly fine, trust me). But just remember that even if your entire chest cavity feels like it is a radiating barrel of energy, that is still grounds for a good time. No one has ever ever died from the physical effects of acid (which is worth reminding yourself if you feel you're starting to freak). However, that's not to say that people haven't done stupid things on it, but all my preconceptions about how it made people want to jump through windowsseem so ridiculous now; not once have I ever felt out of control physically on cid. And I guess this is a good time to put in my two cents about what acid actually is...So acid is not a hallucinogen in my opinion. I know it might be classified as one, but hallucinations are seeing things that aren't there. With acid I've never seen anything that wasn't there, although I always see modifications of things that are already there. So the way Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas portrayed acid was obviously for the crowd-pleasing aspect. The best way I can describe cid's effects is that it makes everything in the world vibrate with a fluorescent, "clean" energy. There are other descriptions too, like wavy surfaces and somewhat of swirling colors, but the one constant I always get is that bright, glowing, energetic quality of things (which is awesome). In terms of the peak, you will know when it begins and ends. Times are hard to predict, but I'd say the peak might not even "start" until about 2-2.5 hours after you drop (although it very well may start before that). A funny little field test I do on myself is when I'm at college, If i'm going to do acid, I'll take 2-3 hits right before dinner without telling anybody, and be present and talking to people the entire time while my condition entirely self-consciously deteriorates. I think it si so interesting to see how acid affects social encounters. I usually last about an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half before I politely say goodbye to whoever I am entertaining and retreat to my room to get ready to enter the peak. I will say this though, and that is that, at least now that I'm relatively experienced with cid, my friends more often than not can not tell if I'm trippin when I am. Granted I'm a bit nuts anyway, but I think that just goes to show how versatile the drug is. Anyway, in terms of the subjective aspects of the peak, well, I guess its just that: subjective! I feel that the comeup is probably a similar feeling in most people, but that the peak can be completely different. But, since I have to make generalizations, I'd say expect colors to become quite complementary and their corresponding surfaces wave-like in their interactions with one another. Music will sound different. People have said it sounds "wider" and that's a pretty good description, but I would say it sounds more like if you were listening to music with larger ears or something. I become more discerning when on cid, and tend to hear different melody interplay, and even layers of sound I hadn't yet realized existed! So make sure to try and spend at least some time during the first 5 hours of your trip listening to music. Closing your eyes while listening is amazing too, as you will likely get some pretty complex 2-d or even 3-d fluxing fractal kaleidoscope designs that may even interact with the music (the synesthesia aspect). One more thing to mention...do not under any circumstances drink alcohol while tripping. I've done it a few times, and all it does is make the trip dirty and cloudy, and any negative effects you get from normal alcohol consumption will be magnified (even if only psychologically) by its interaction with cid. However, smoking weed, at least for me, tends to amplify, or at least complement the trip nicely, although that may be because I'm very familiar with weed, so as long as you are, it should only help the trip. Another cool thing about weed and acid is that smoking weed even 10 or 12 hours after you drop can bring the trip back to earlier levels of intensity. It is probably something like for every joint you smoke, you go back to trippin as hard as you were about 2 hours ago. This is obviously a guess, but it goes to show the degree weed will affect the trip (which is moderate, not heavy). Well, I definitely didn't think I would write this much going into this, but as you will find out (or as you already have found out), the acid experience is quite ineffable, although it is still possible to give generalizations. But when it comes down to it, each trip has its own character, and you will be blown away by whatever happens on any of them. Good luck, and tell us how the trip went!!!!
^ Paragraphs please. Jesus. Whatever you do, don't dose your first time in public. Dose in a comfortable and familiar setting. Whether it be a comfortable hike you have known in the woods, or whether it be in the comfort of your own home or somebody elses. And another rule of thumb, don't analyze the experience when it happens. Analyze everything that happens when your sober. Trust me, it will save your mind and analyzing can deteriorate from the trip in general. Just use your common sense, and you'll have a legit mind-bending experience.
First trip's should just be pleasing to bring you further a second time. Or you can actually trip, eat 3-5, and go somewhere comfortable outdoors alone and see what you learn
