Why do films always take so long to tell you what they are called?

It's always a this or that production, or starring this person or directed by that person THEN they tell you the name of it!

Just tell me what the bloody film is called! Then tell me who is in it etc...

I think a law should be passed to make it illegal not to say what the film is called in the first 10 seconds.

Suspense keeps people on the edge of their seat wanting more.

That's why around here you can view the "info" on what you're watching from the cable box. I'm not big on movie suspense either

Because it's bad to have people walking out when X: Men Origins Wolverine flashes across film. Better to have them have gobled down half a pound of popcorn and when the cruel reality hits them.

I did not like the movie Raising Arizona at all but I thought it was pretty funny that the opening credits did not start until about a half an hour in.

I think it may have something to do with writer guild laws.

Don't you generally know the title of the film before you start watching?

Not always. Sometimes I flick channel just as the film is starting, and I've missed the TV presenter announcing it.

lol.. what if you hit the channel after the first ten seconds of the film starting? That doesnt make any sense. They announce it, you missed that, you would obviously miss the title appearing ten seconds later. Isn“t it better that the title appears 10 minutes in, that way if you missed the begining, you would still have a chance to see it?

I don't have the cable box or cable...just the basic 29 channels. So, I often watch shows for a good 20 minutes before realizing what the show actually is.

i basically just leave on comedy central at all times when i'm at home. they rarely announce what movie they're about to show, it just starts playing.

They really do need to fix that situation given the short attention span we all have.

Unless it is a suspense film as that may be part of the plot to the big build up so that you do not regret spending all that money to see a film that sucks. :)
