I'm sure there's at least a couple laws made that help people though.

    Killing
    Hurting
    Recklessly needlessly endangering
    Stealing/damaging

Well shit, that about covers the just laws. Might be able to fill like ten pages writing those up into law.

Then there's room for social policy, like healthcare, or state/national parks/public facilities. But that's on another level, and obviously not the focus of this thread.

Everything else is tyrannical and meant to control the people.

    Civil liability law?
    Family law?
    Administrative law?
    Environmental law?
    Evidence law?

I can see what you mean with maybe four areas, Intellectual Property, drug control and other crimes, poverty/homeless law, censorship and tax law

Well yes, but the things you mention are mostly civil or generally relate to the functioning of businesses, and (the mistake that libertarians generally make, which discredits them and makes their angle invalid, by the way) businesses do NOT have the rights of the people they're composed of, or even the rights of ONE person.

I honestly don't know what evidence law is, would that relate to the destruction of evidence? Because I think that's a bullshit charge as it's usually applied, for the same reason that escaping from forcible custody is a bullshit charge: it's human nature to not want to get in trouble. If I have pot and try to eat it to avoid being caught, that should not constitute a second charge, should I fail to swallow it or whatever. I mean, it's only a hop, skip, and a jump from there to saying it's an additional crime to not turn yourself in for any crime you commit! (again, should not apply to corporations, they're not people and don't have the same rights or obligations as people)

I think the things I mentioned before should be about the extent of criminal law. Civil violations can exist, where you get a ticket as you would for a traffic violation. But that shouldn't be anywhere NEAR the same class as killing or hurting someone. How fucked up is it that you can get in more trouble for having or selling drugs than assaulting or killing someone? William leonard pickard, IMO one of the most noble men in recent history (in the way that julian assange is: he personally may have ha a checkered life, but he did SUCH a good thing that that's irellevant because of how good this one thing is) is locked up for LIFE, while MURDERERS get out after a matter of years in many cases. They RUINED HIS LIFE for a chemical, might as well have shot him on the spot before the trial. EVEN if drug regulations were okay, it should not be possible to commit a criminal offense with drugs, even a misdimeanor.

Yep, like just about every one of my posts, it turned into an "I want my chemicals, and I want them now" rant :leaving:

That they shouldn't is your opinion (mine too) but they do, so they must have laws governing them.

Evidence law dictates what kinds of things can be used to demonstrate facts in court. If it wasn't there the court system would be a farce.

That is truly fucked, but I don't see how you can go from saying sentencing is unjust to saying all other laws are unjust.

I think you may have misunderstood part of my point of view. While no, I don't think there should be a need for those laws either, civil law is an area of law, covering things such as underage tobacco smoking or zoning violations, that sort of thing. By saying something is or should be a civil issue, that's what I meant.

Evidence law is a good point, but I think an implied part of a just government, of course there must be a system, we can't just say,

    No:
    Killing
    Hurting
    Recklessly needlessly endangering
    Stealing/damaging

And make up what methods of convicting and punishing as each jurisdiction pleases, of course.

This is probably somewhat imcomplete, as far as the points I meant to make go, it's getting to be that time of morning. I apologise for editing mistakes or a lack of explanation.

Do these response have anything about all to do with that sincere question?

    Shall we reiterate?

    On topic. Please?

The question contains an implication everyone may not agree upon.

    I don't see vague threads. I see:

Hip Forums > Hip Communities > Hippies > so many lost...

Pay attention. Hippies + so many lost... + Laws = Ruined lives in Prison and there Ruined families at home. (Hippies and others.) > Hip Communities > Hippies > Get IT?

The United States has more people in prison for drug offense than any other nation on the face of the Earth.
What else could he be talking about.

I see a page and a quarter of people 3000 to 8000 posts continuing to slam the new visitor who try to ask sincere questions and try to hold real conversation.

No Wonder millions of new visitors come here ever year and few actually stay. They all just get victimized. Raped.

    Heckles.

You should all be very proud of yourselves. You got rid of one more innocent person who had dared to Post A Question.

I wonder want the webmaster would think of this? Cripts and Bloods killing people on his website, in front of everyone.

That was the point of questioning what he was talking about.

Because there are other things that people who claim to be hippies get busted for all the time. Just look through the site here...

Hip Forums > ALL OF IT...

Saying it is unjust that some people get busted for some things is beyond vague... it is assinine...

    get it?

Yeah, it has nothing to do with the fact that millions of people surf millions of pages every day across the web without posting...

If the OP had asked a question that had some direction to it, instead of relying on people's mind reading skills to know what he was talking about, none of this would have ensued.

After all kenny, not everyone can read people's mind's across the net as you can.

This is quite true, as is rolling's post.

But it's more fun to take the ball and run on a rant with it, than to worry about what kind of pitch it was originally thrown with:mickey:

More fun yes... however, it would have been better if instead of people attacking someone for pointing out that the question could be related to ANYTHING, the OP had come back and clarified the statement, it would have been more productive...

But hey... I guess if you have the ability to read minds across the net, it is a different thing... lol

All that I see is the same old people laying in wait. And then gutting the prey.

Same old victimization by the same old folk. Gang Rape.

The OP left and will obviously never return. A job well done by all.

Me. I think that peoples lives should not be ruined by laws as a big game for making money.
