Any Cool Cars?

I use to have a SMART car. I loved it dearly, totalled it and nearly died.

Now I drive my old Jeep from high school. Cool.

Cool cars: cars NOT made by GM, from 1880-2005. Newer than that, FUCK it. I don't like having my car "call home", have a law enforcement available killswitch, have airbags under every fucking panel because of stupid people who don't buckle up, thereby making things LESS safe, more expensive, harder to service yourself or repair after a crash, etc, and all that. Emissions regulations are the only auto regulations I don't hate.

So.... I plan to drive cheap old shit for ever, maybe buying a duplicate of my car if I need enough parts at once or something.

And honestly, new cars are just so fucking ugly... there's a few cool new ones, like the current fiat 500 (and every fiat every made, really) but for the most part, FUCK em all.

The fact that they no longer make the VW type 1 or the citroen 2cv bothers me. Two of the most amazing designs ever concieved, and americans want a car that CAN go faster than they ever will, and is the size of a troop carrier.... And those bullshit airbag laws and crap. You don't need curtain airbags when your citroen tops out at 62mph. And these things got milage that exceeds current standards in 19fourtyfucking9.

 

The only acceptable answer is pickup truck.
