Id rep you again MissBongLips, but it says i need to spread the forum aids to more sluts before i can re-infect you :(

If you think death and cannibal corpse sound the same you have too many dicks on your ears. Didnt chuck (dude from death) die because he didnt have enough money to pay for his life-saving operation or something? thats kind of sad, letting somebody die because they didnt have enough money. I imagine thats why a lot of the songs off his last album were very pessimistic about human nature.

He's going to rape you in hell for giving him shit here by the way(they lurk the forums but arent allowed to post, so he knows.).. something to look forward to, asshole.

I hate to sound like a pretentious bitch but I just finished reading 'Mean Deviation', and I hate it when people try to sound all elitist and talk shit when they really don't know what they are talking about, blurting their opinions for fact... joking or not. Disinfo isn't good. I take music seriously, so I will be anal retentive and share my knowledge with people for the hell of it. :p

Cannibal Corpse didn't form until 1988. Chuck Schuldiner was one of the ORIGINATORS of death metal along with Possessed in 1983 and Hellhammer, who formed in 1982 and through imitation by subsequent bands inspired and helped create death/black/doom metal; just like Hellhammer was influenced by Venom and initially intended to imitate their sound.

Hellhammer was featured on a compilation called 'Death Metal, that included some power and thrash metal bands while Possessed released an album called Death Metal, and Chuck formed Manta, then changed the name to Death the same year. It is not clear who came first but they were both some of the first ones to create a recognizable death metal sound and name.

This is an example of a collective culture evolving and influencing the individuals simultaneously and through imitation the same way various fads pop up and mutations occur; because it's feedback dependent there isn't really a 'first, it's hazy.

Chuck Schuldiner, the founding member of Death, was the only one to stick with it throughout all seven albums. The first three albums were typical gore lyrics and negative social commentary but on the album Human and on up, Chuck became more progressive in sound/cover art and more philosophical in lyrics although he was always critical of society like a lot of death metal bands. So I don't know why that would suprise anyone. Although, he was aware of how the older image/name/logo didn't fit his evolving sound, he formed a side project to pursue this and released one album as Havoc Unit before he died.

He completed all his albums before he found out he had a brain stem tumor and was optimistic about his music the whole time even while on his death bed. He couldn't get an operation because he didn't have health insurance and most health insurance, at least before this bill was passed, denies pre-existing conditions and he couldn't raise up enough money from his fans.

Exponential growth after reproduction(imitation of a band in this case) is inevitable unless you are actively trying to keep a traditional sound and formula and don't allow yourself to experiment, like say, a band like AC/DC. Not that I dislike AC/DC, just that this factor of 'exponential growth' of music is why I have a preference for experimental, prog and avant metal.

Like evolution in general and sexual reproduction vs. asexual cloning reproduction, to me it's more enjoyable and gives you something mysterious to look foward to(what will the kid look/act like?) so to speak and fights entropic stagnation and degredation better as it changes a bit with each leap and strives for some unknown ideal amidst chaos and stagnation.
