hey so i started my "diet" on monday. i ate bread, margarine, homemade tomato juice, some walnut, some strawberries, onions (i just read that onions are bad).+i ate some chicken soup today. but i will only eat bread and tomato juice tomorrow. if everything is going alright im gonna prepare my brew tomorrow and im planning to drink it friday morning. i will use 50 gramms of caapi and 50 gramms of viridis. I will boil them seperately for 2 hours, filter it and repeat it again. Before i reduce the liquid i will drink a minimal dose to see if i have an allergic reaction. (dont know if this is necessary but better safe than sorry) i will drink the strength at 9 and when i feel ready i will start drinking the light slowly. the bad thing is that i started smoking cigarettes again. will this greatly affect it? i wont smoke while im on it but i will smoke the day before. anything else i should watch out for ? any hint? thanks (to be honest im scared shitless every time i try a new substance but i really looking forward to this, i have been planning it for 3 years it think)

Finally, the answers on ayahuasca diets. Completely unnecessary for physical safety. You see all those beta-carbolines like harmine, harmaline and tetrahydroharmine in the b. caapi are RIMA's, reversible inhibitors of MAO in your gut. You're all back to normal on the MAO front just a few hours after dosing (though you may feel like your're glowing for days afterwards).

Now, abstaining from harmful practices and eating a good diet is always a good idea and it never hurts to kind of mentally and physically clean one's house before drinking ayahuasca. Also, your diet sounds tasty.

Remember, aya doesn't always work and sometimes works way better than you thought it might. Difficult to say, especially with a first brew. But, if you don't get much effect, don't give up. Usually people can find their right mix with plants after several tries.

Hope it goes well for you.

i had a nice experience! but i coulnt keep down the viridis. .it was like the caapi was saying no not yet. you are not ready for that. i tried smoking after drinking the caapi before the purge came but i couldn't. i wanted to light my cigarette and then i just put it away. tried that at least ten times but i just couldnt. strange i after purge i heard a strange humming noise and saw some stuff vibrating so i think that viridis was strong. but i just couldnt keep it down and i had way too much liquid next time i will prepare it better. i think it was a great beginning and i feel great and clean. The caapi itself was very sedative at first, and after purge i ate a piece of bread and then i felt energized. Nice trippy thoughts. My head felt clear all the time.

Yeah, with ayahuasca, if a heavy dmt dose shows up, purging is not far behind...

Agreed with Ancient One. Heck, even a light DMT dose and purging follows for me. Ahh, the buzzing sound . . . too bad you didn't take a tiny little hit of freebase DMT rather than a cigarette . . . . Hey, at least you know you have potent plants. I believe good things will follow with future brews . . .
